Ticket to Ride is steaming onto the Mac app store with a new Macintosh version that includes solo, hot-seat and online game play on the classic Ticket to Ride USA map. Based on the graphics and design of the successful iPad version, this new Ticket to Ride for Mac also includes in-app purchases for all of the digital maps and game modes released on iPad: USA 1910, Europe, and Switzerland. New Mac rail barons will be able to play online against the tens of thousands of opponents around the world who use the current Mac, PC, Linux and iPad versions of Ticket to Ride. Ticket to Ride is available for download in the Mac app store for $9.99/€ 7.99. Also for a limited time, all in-app maps are available at a special launch price. Get Ticket to Ride for Mac today! Note: Existing Ticket to Ride Online users can continue to use the older browser and downloadable Macintosh versions. That's great! I'm curious to know how this will work with online play, since each Mac App Store purchase can be downloaded to multiple computers. Can I play online against people using the other computers in my house? Will the people on those computers be required to have DOW accounts? And if so, will a free account be good enough? My wife and I already have paid accounts with access to TTR, but I won't mind paying once more for the Mac App Store version if I can play online against my kids (who don't have paid accounts). This will work similarly to the iPad version. When you install the Mac App Store version of the game on one of your Macs, it will ask you for a Days of Wonder Online account. As long as your kids choose to create one (and enter a different valid e-mail address for each Online account they create) they will be able to have their own account to play from. So if you install the Mac App Store version on 3 Macs, and use 3 Days of Wonder Online accounts to play from, you will be able to have 3 people play against each other Online. Yes. Apple does not allow cross-selling between apps and/or stores.

This version supports only DoW Accounts - since Game Center is not on Mac OS X yet. But wait, there is a simple solution. Simply contact us and ask us to turn your Game Center account into a regular DoW Account. We will send you a password, and so you will be able to use it on the Mac version.

And maybe even better, we'll merge your two accounts, since you obviously already have a DoW Account: you are posting on this forum Wink

Make sure you indicate both your Game Center login and your DoW login.
