Contrary to my previous matches in big tournaments, I am no longer going to elaborate on the matches. Normally I would sit in front of my computer with pen and paper on my desk. Instead of playing well, I would concentrate more on writing down the details of the match than pay attention to what my opponent was doing. This resulted time and time again in stupid mistakes and unnecessary losses. So I am not going to do that anymore.
NO MORE DISTRACTION!!!
I am honestly going to tell you that it still bothers me, losing the Open Tournament finale against Torsten, on Wednesday 13 July 2005, organized by the legendary Léachris. Here I was... in the FINALE of a tournament! This was my ticket to fame and fortune and endless bragging on the forum! But instead I was sidetracked by certain pictures I received from a (well-known but no longer active to my knowledge) female Ticket to Ride player... (and, no, I will be discrete, no names.) I can still get upset by that loss. I wasn't defeated by Torsten. Ultimately, I was defeated by my hormones.
BUT I AM NO LONGER AN ADOLESCENT! I'M A MAN NOW! I'LL SHOW YOU! YOU'LL SEE! 
And today this was at the expense of ~Maf. 
~Maf, I enjoyed our games. You're a worthy opponent. I wish you all the best with Mary Mary. 
I've made mistakes in the past. I've blown chances. I didn't always eat my canned vegetables and paid for it. But I'm back, you bunch of train wrecks, and The Ideal Son-Outlaw is still hungry for gold.
Mark my words: at end of the track you will either cry Uncle... or call me Daddy.

So, um... yeah. I lost. Two times in a row. Big time. My play must have been a torn in the eye to some of the spectators. DrakeStorm yelled in disbelieve after my last match against AGT-Technikerin: "You had 9 LOCOS!" I know... On the other hand, some players had the time of their lives. Like ~Maf, for instance. Still frustrated about his League Season 11 loss against me and being turned down by Mary Mary, he was now fanatically cheering for JenAck. "Kick his @$$!", the Frenchie constantly yelled. Well, mon ami, your wish came true...
BUT! I can explain.
Let's not forget, my friends, it has been quite an emotional day for me. First, I did not sleep last night until around 5 pm (insomnia is bothering me lately). Second, I've been scolded by the boys from Days of Wonder who also threatened to suspend my account. Something I did NOT expect, since I thought I was on good terms with them. And, third, clearly I'm saving my powers to demolish Dea1 and Truckenteller tomorrow.
With still two more matches to go against TRUE Miguel and UKB GSV, it already seems I'm spending my vacation in the Coal Shovelers Division. I admit, I did not expect this. I was playing very well these past two weeks. But, like I stated above, unforeseen circumstances took their toll today.
No matter what you think of me, I'm still human.

As you can all imagine I was HOPING to win but didn't get my hopes up too high, due to just getting out of the hospital and being out of the game for a month. I quickly played one match prior to my League Season matches against UKB GSV and I was like: "What's this? This is Ticket to Ride? What am I supposed to do now? O yes, choose tickets, draw cards..." I really felt like the Ugly Duckling of Ticket to Ride... which is not possible because I am very beautiful, inside and outside. Brain surgery really messes a person up.
Anyway, I won. Close call again, but I'm getting used to that. I'm glad we could play our matches WITHOUT any outside interference for once (not pointing fingers, even though I want to).
UKB GSV, thank you for our matches, I enjoyed them. I wish you all the best with the your remaining league matches.
