Creating a game with buddies - Steam (PC) Version Fri, 06 July 2012 16:33
Hello.

I ran into this yesterday and I for the life of me cannot figure out how to make it work. Here's the scenario:

I have TTR on iPad, Mac, and Steam for PC. I have a DOW account that I just merged yesterday with my Steam account so I could play on my PC and see my Buddies.

When I open the Steam game and go to the Buddies tab, my Buddy is online (from an iPad). However, when I click on their name, there is no option to "Invite" like there is on the iPad version.

I instead created a Private game with a password and they were able to find it and join.

Is this what I have to do? Is there no Invite option for the Steam (PC) version for Buddies?

Thanks.

Edit: I should add, my buddy is logging in with a DOW account, too.

Unfortunately for now we don't have an "invite" option on Steam. Instead, people who use Steam (and the Web version) must agree in private for a password and create a private game using that password.

This is something that we hope to remedy at some point; it's just not the case yet.

That's fine with me, as long as it's recognized.

Thanks! I've been using private games with a password with no issues.
