1st Armoured to the rescue - winning in the first turn - as Allies!

1st Armoured to the rescue is not so popular and it is heavily in odds of the Germans.
Theoretically the Germans have a good chance of completing it in one turn - if they are lucky enough to get Armored Overrun in the first turn.
4 tanks = 16 dice, and if they completely eliminate their opponent or roll a flag then that makes potentially 16 more, 32 dice that could mean the end of the game, in the starting turn.
Well trying to put this theory to the test I offered to play always two games and I got my 1 turn victory, but not as Germans but the British!

And it did help that my graceful but unlucky opponent "Unlucky" Lucky Duck pressed the done button a little too soon.

So you lost 2 gold ingots for playing a couple of minutes?
You've been ripped off!

Thing was I was hoping to achieve the same result with the Germans - winning a battle before the opponent gets to do anything.
This was a surprise even to me.
Of course Lucky Duck did contribute in a big way when he couldn't move by error.
(Lucky Duck has designed a good mission 1st El Alamein for those interested under SFTF)

And on top of that you wittmanned the battle (some achievement even though you've already got both medals)

Yep Phread, very true.
We ducks are flighty creatures by nature.
Once you find me, nabbing me isn't (usually) too hard.
I declare 'duck season' open!
Quack!

Been there done that - and even more painful was my 4 panzers were ordered by an Armor Assault. Lesson learned there - make damn well sure you are finished moving BEFORE you touch any buttons.
Of course this would never happen in a ftf game (nor one played on Vassal).
An on screen prompt should be added as a feature to address this problem. After all they have one if a player does not order all the units he can off a card.

Every now and then I forget to move units too.
I've also made the suggestion for such a prompt in an earlier thread. It would help a lot.

Jiminy crickets, every time I look at your signature it gets better and better.
Any chance you can put a small duck on the back of the tank that is chasing the infantry, in honor of our newest Colonel?
