How to straigthen your Equipment Pack bent miniatures

Some commanders in the fields reported that some of their figures for the Memoir '44 Equipment Pack were bent, particularly those with long guns barrels (machine guns, tanks, artillery, etc.). The plastic used for these figures is indeed flexible, which prevents them from breaking in two, but can more easily cause some bending.
To remedy this, here is a simple method.
1. Prepare a bowl with some cold water ; set it aside.
2. Boil some more water in a pan.
3. Using a metal spoon or a fork, gently drop your bent figures in the hot water (be careful not to burn yourself!). Wait a few seconds, then take your figures out of the hot water with the spoon.
4. Straighten your bent figures manually so that they recover their original shape. Be careful as the figure's plastic may still be hot to the touch.
5. Now drop your straightened up figures in the bowl of cold water that you prepared to "freeze" them in their now correct position.
Now, off to battle!

Do you think this technique also works for this rifle?

I know, the Germans had them too, they called it Krummlauf

Oh, but you can fix that yourself: just throw a miniature in boiling water, bend the barrel and then cool it in cold water.

Used the method and it works fine, i even seen that when you drop them in the hot water they seem to repost in there original and straight right position.

The recommended method works brilliantly! Thanks for the advice - may now revisit my bent out of shape Battlelore figures!

Some of mine have returned to their original shape - particularly the 88mm guns which have both bent cruciforms and droopy barrells.
