Why No Armor Overrun? Sat, 20 October 2012 21:29
This occurred while playing Hellfire Pass. My British armor unit eliminated an Italian infantry on a ridge hex. Why did I not get an armor overrun?

Hi Jackson

I do not see your image, but in the replay I see you killing two Italian infantries with the armor unit. The first time you get no armor overrun because you rode he tanks into the wire (and removed it) After running into wire you cannot move any more. The second time you moved up on the erg-ridge which also does not allow movement after that.

Hope this helps. Smile

Hi Jeronimon!

Hope you are doing well. Tomorrow afternoon I will play the Tournament final. Thanks for your answer, but take a look at this link. Here my opponent is the British and he is allowed to take an armored overrun on an erg-ridge. How is this scenario different from the first one? How do you copy and paste into a message?

Your opponent could make an armour overun because the armour moved up to but not onto the ridge before making its attack and subsequent overrun. It could not move 2 hexes in its overrun as it had to stop when moving onto the ridge.

Similarly if an armour unit starts on a ridge hex, close assault (without moving) it will be able to make an armour overrun if it retreats or eliminates its opposing unit.
