As dark clouds gather over Brittany once again, it's whispered that a Traitor may be conspiring against the Round Table to bring down the kingdom. Band together with your allies to dispel these rumours and defeat the Shadows. Announcing Shadows over Camelot - The Card Game. Based on the award-winning cooperative board game released in 2005, the Card Game follows in the footsteps of the original, as players work together to defend Camelot against rumors swirling about the kingdom. The fast-paced game invites players to take on the role of sons & daughters of the legendary Knights of the Round Table; together, they must unite to defeat the game's threats, represented by a deck of Rumor cards that swirl around Camelot. Once again, the Knights face Traitors in their midst as loyalties are tested and may even switch sides during the game. Shadows over Camelot - The Card Game includes a deck of 62 Rumor cards; 9 Knight cards; 9 Loyalty cards; 10 Quest Tokens and 16 double-sided (black and white) swords. It is a stand-alone game that takes approximately 20 minutes and can be played with 2-7 players, as well as a solo game. Are the cards of better quality than those of the board game version? The board game version handshuffle with difficulty after several plays no matter how clean our hands are. [Report message to a moderator]

I can't wait to get this game! We love Shadows over Camelot, and the idea of being able to play the game in a shorter time or without the board sounds like a blast. Now we'll have a travel version of the game which is perfect, because we travel a lot! Thanks to the creators for another fun game about Camelot! [Report message to a moderator]

I wonder if DoW has plans to do more with the shadows over Camelot game because on the game page it has been moved from the big adventure games section and placed in its own catagory [Report message to a moderator]

I certainly hope so, it just screams for expansions, more quests, new knights of the round table. Been since '08 since we had the small expansion 'Merlin's Company'.

I would love to see more expansions for Shadows! I don't know if you guys saw the interview on BGG of one of the game creators, but he talked about how this new Card Game version was created. He said they made it to be a board game first and then switched it to a card game later on...so hopefully they still have some ideas for expanding the board game version! It might appeal to my wife, because of the quick play, but not enough atmosphere for me. I'll give it a try if I get the chance, but it would be nice to have another way of completing quests (rather than guessing/counting cards). I probably would have liked the big board game version they worked up prior to designing the card game even if it was just additional quests. I love the atmosphere of the original game. I watched that video too unfortunately I couldn't really understand him all that well but I want to support the Shadows over Camelot games so I'll pick it up. Hopefully my group will enjoy it. I would also like to see the bigger version of Camelot [Report message to a moderator]

Greetings again! The tokens are used in conjunction with Merlin Card # 4. See rule book page 14, 30 or 46 depending on language preference. [Report message to a moderator]
