Now can anyone who has been around longer than me answer this?...
Has anyone held rank 1 overall, 2er and multi all at the SAME time?
I'd love to try and be the first to do that! Seems like the hardest achievement possible other than being first on every map... but overall, 2er and multi take all maps into consideration.... It's unusual that rank 1 is close to both, usually either/or...

Yes mate. Many of players who reach No.1 are most No. 1 in 2er and multis at the same time. And i know that 2 players top this. They are in Megagames No. 1 too. Or one player in EU-Map.
Do you see you are not alone and not first. But nice thread.
But i think to reach No.1 overall with 2er, multis, Mega or EU are not the really No 1 here. I think +1800 are the tops that only reached of 5 players only.

I went through my memory and i came to a list with at least 11 players reaching 1800+
since i am not sure, that the list is complete,lets see if we find more:

-Davidb9
-Kotay

Lets not forget, that 1800 back then (in 2005) was not compareable to today. Pilke and Kotay were brilliant, but today they would be 1600 or below!
Who was 1800+ in 2010 or later? Those are the best players ever

Nobody in 2011 or 2012.
In 2010, Schwen and WhiteTrain for sure. Maybe you ?
The highest score I've ever seen, since i've followed the rankings, is Davidb9's 1826, in 2009 or 2010.
About Kotay and Pilke, I'd tend to agree... It'd take them a reach a bit to reach 1700, if they totally stopped playing for 3 years.

Blubes for sure. Maybe Kostas at the end of last year, but I didnt watch it closely. Ommie assures me I was last year too, but I honestly cant tell...
As a side note, Will is the first one that made it to number 1 being registered after the 1st of January 2009...
Others who started to play in 2008 were Kaogum, blubes, kostas, rufuz and I.
Basically, the pool of top players hasnt changed much over the years, but the ELO of top 5 has still declined (just read Goscha mentioning being 22nd with 1732 in 2006)... And I still dont think players are not playing as good as in 2008...

I think thekid made it to 1845 at some stage, but he knows that better himself  so he'll probably let us know if it's the case.
Also he tried harder than anyone else to get as high as possible simultaneously on every map available. Not sure what the lowest overall placing total was for all the maps, but it was probably held by him too.

It's OK, you know you want it. How could you forget THE number Bean? My buddy has it etched in his brain. He saved me the effort of posting it, what a buddy. One of the best things about it was I was over 100 points ahead of the #2 at the time.
For Will, I had six 1's at the same time. The 3 I didn't have at that time were Europe, Multi and 1910. Don't know what other combos I had them in after that but it took me eight months to finally get the other three 1's I didn't have but never got them all sync'd up.
And yes Bean remembers The Quest for the Nine thread. My lowest all 9 ranks was 21. Weird that at that time, I only had three 1's, but the worst was 4.
Now too many games out there in the world today. Maybe if they ever put Nordic Countries, Marklin or the other 2 new ones here, I'd get all revved up again.

I can understand them not putting up the two new ones (considerable extra programming for some of the new rules, a nightmare to design a bot, and they probably want to sell the game in shops first), and I believe there were some licensing issues for the Marklin edition...
But I see no real reason they couldnt release the Nordic countries online. I think (may be wrong) it's out of print with just a few copies still for sale here and there, So why not make some money off putting it online?! I'm sure enough players would get it to warrant programming it. It's quite a nice map... if you can get 9 grey early!
