Ahem, yes Phread, there is still space, there is indeed.

The question is, will you still be there when the new Colonels arrive?

Also, no pets allowed.

Jim

Given DoW's lack of haste at providing us with an update/upgrade it seems quite probable that we shall be Brigadiers for a while longer, so I probably will be there.

I was in no hurry to become a Colonel, I just wanted to play and enjoy the game but after almost 1 year of being a Lt. Colonel and some help and inspiration from Phread and Jeronimon I can now buy a round of Patron Tequila for all you guys.

Salute!!!

Of course you, friends from across the ocean, must know that the beret myth is quite old fashioned : I've only ever known one person who occasionally wears a beret. Then again I'm not from the "Pays Basque".

As for the wine, cheese and baguette, guilty as charged.

I am also not from Pays Basque, but from les Pays Bas.
And I also do not wear a beret but for wine, cheese and baguettes, count me in. http://themepark.nl/ubb/images/icons/default/honger.gif

Welcome to #118 Colonel Gonzalan

Thank you Van Voort! Didn't know anyone was paying attention until I started reading myself and became more aware of the postings on the forum!

As to the requirements, again, no idea how it happened, as with all my other promotions, just played and took things as they came!

As for the next step, who knows when that will happen!

Thanks again Very Happy

Thanks Phread.
Now I finally have the rank that fits my avatar. Very Happy

As I wrote in another thread I kept record of all battles I won since I was Oberstleutnant. My bucket list grew smaller and smaller , and on three-kings-day I won the last. After three more games and victories, on cadets, I got promoted. My database was accurate.

A general conclusion after about 600 battles is that I prefer dynamic battles with lots of action and moving around over static games were the enemy doesn't want to leave the shrubbery he's in or the safety of "vaderlanderkes" (sandbags). Bored
So if you guys want to invite me for a game do me a favour and choose a fast and swift battle. Thumbs Up

Der Kampf geht weiter ... so see you around.

Thank you Phread Razz

Kellogs_10 is motivated me to achieve this grade.

So I made a list of battles missing and there was a lot Sad (despite the fact that some battles do not count for obtaining the rank of colonel), including the Mediterranean and Pacific fronts that I like a little less Confused .

It has not been easy but I was helped at the end by the inexperience of cadets Embarassed , since we must also face 25 cadets! Twisted Evil

The next grade seems very far... Rolling Eyes

The journey from Colonel to Brigadier doesn't have to take too long if you work hard at it. Cool Cool Cool

It took me 18 days from the announcement of the new rank to earn the promotion.

Hello, blow your trumpet away and welcome to #139 Colonel Gezza Dude.

If you want to know how to become a Brigadier, they hang out in the Brigadier Bar. yes they talk a lot (and so you have a lot of reading to catch up on.)

In short: we don't know exactly, but play lots of SFTF scenarios and try to spread them over different scenarios and different fronts. If you manage to join a SFTF tournament that would help also.

Good luck, hanging about in our nice bar and hunting for that promotion.

"Melissa pour a drink for Colonel Geeza Dude", the first on is on me, after that he will have to parasite on someone else. Cool

And since Phread is probably still sleeping at this hour I would also welcome #140 Colonel Corregidor

Who won his promotion at the Liberation of Successful Defense of Paris as Axis.
Quite an accomplishment!

Tell us about your journey if you are so inclined, but be sure to get a drink first. Although in Paris I am sure the drinks were plentiful. Cool

Yes I am dutch. (Just checked my passport.)
