2 winter/desert boards? Wed, 02 January 2013 17:22
I got the winter/desert board for Christmas. But I already have it so I am wondering, are there scenarios where two winter or desert boards are needed? Perhaps in the Breakthrough or Overload scenarios?

There are a few Overlord scenarios in which you'll need two boards of that type if you want to play them.

I think it is not a bad idea to have them.

There are currently five official Overlord scenarios which use two winter boards (Rzhev, Neffe, Warnach & Bigonville, Bastogne, Tigers in the Snow) and one which uses two desert boards (Tobruk). Of these, Tobruk and Tigers in the Snow could also be played on the respective Battle Maps, but they are out of print.

For Breakthrough scenarios, use the oversized boards included in the Breakthrough Kit (still available).

I have bought two of most of the expansions so I might not be typical in this regard but I find having two winter/desert boards is useful.

Great! In what expansions are the overlord expansions that you mention included?
