LOL-GASP
First Round Play-off match: US/EU
onyx puffin vs Schwen
Saturday, March 23 around 15:30 CET.

Realized looking through, Schwen did not write up when he won. Score here was Schwen 3.5 - onyx 2.5. Some important late ticket draws switched one game for Schwen, and made a tie for onyx in another match.

Very exciting game, after a bad start for me (2-0) a good finish !

Thx again for the match Rui (the game 4 with block was terrible !)

Deadline is thursday.

Please try to adjust, so that we dont overlap too much with SPWC, and so that Fusion does not go on forever.

GP haxxli vs Trou Normand Sysy : 1 - 5

1) 105*-114 : Hel La/La Chi vs Win Hou/SSM Oak. Got nice colors blind, a loco among them to take longest off her.

2) 115-116* : 42 vs Dul Hou/Den Paso. I finished fast with longest. 6 white was key.

3) 125*-97 : Brest Pet/Par Zag/Es Marseille vs Ath Angor/Sofia Smyrna

Not much i could have done, still an easy win despite her 2 stations

4) 107-120* : Riga Buc, War Smol vs Brest Pet/Fran Smol/Ber Buc
Had to play a station but my tix were nice enough with longest

5) 111*-118 : Port Phoe Dul Paso vs Van fe Chi Fe Den pit
More track points for me made the decision

6) 102-130 : Brest Ven / Ed Ath vs Lisb Dan/Berl Mosk

Nice colors and longest for me

Thanks Heidi !

womble - Pammes
AAT

Sunday, March 24 at 18.30 h

womble 4 Pammes 2

After losing the first 2 games with mediocre tickets and colors (In Swiss took 28 cards more than needed to get the 4th black....what a desaster and so badly played by me - Pammes kept on drawing tix and won. In Big Cities he killed LA LV....and I had 2 LV tickets to NY and MI - and lost. The kill was already his first move: 6 black - I waited to long...and then it was too late) the luck switched sides and clearly favoured me in the following 4 games.
There was no real battle as one of us was always clearly in the disadvantage.
Pammes had no chances on the last 4 games:
USA: middle vs. east tix
Asia: 3 perfectly matching tickets for me - two reasonable - but not winnable - ones for Pammes
Europe: I kept 4 (incl. Pal Mos, Rome Smyrna etc.) unequeal fight again. Pammes kept 3 incl Cad Stock.... the 8er went to him, I took both 6es with longest, Pammes could not complete 1 ticket.
1910: I kept 3 West, he 3 east - although he drew and found one securing the bonus to him it was not enough, as I could play 6es in the middle and west whereas he had the typical slow east.

Many thanks for the games.
I highly appreciate your flexibility and playing with you is always a pleasure.

(TAG) GURU Brad/Drake vs GANG Hecki/dea1 : ...

Sorry Team, second time in a row I lose 2.5-3.5
Truck is a very good player but he needed a bit luck today to beat me. A good single in game 3 for the draw, 9 reds in game 5 for longest and in the last game (when it was 2.5-2.5) not enough locos for me.
But he deserves the win.
Grats and thx for the games.

Re:Fusion Cup - Play Off Matches Sun, 24 March 2013 23:01
TAG LOL 4 - 2 GASP

very strange first two games
in the first one we blocked angel very early at Los Angeles but they nevertheless won (blocked my Los Angeles-Chicago)
149-186 Evil or Very Mad

in the second Louis and me had Skype-problems, and i gave away in the chat that he got Vancouver-Montreal (had problems to realize where i posted my conversation with Louis), they got a little bit carelss afterwards, Louis finished in 9 turns and we won (i accidently/luckily blocked Anu den-pitt)
163-152 Very Happy

third game was closer than the result shows:
angel made Seattle-New York, but gave early away he got Montreal-New Orleans, we could block that at the end...
and he did not draw something good
202-165
thanks for the games

by the way it was Louis very first TAG-game
well done Louis! Surprised

Re:Fusion Cup - Play Off Matches Mon, 25 March 2013 00:35
TAG: BTB vs GP 5-1

Game 1: 190-159

Mon no/chi no, la mia/den paso vs la ny/port nash, hel la/win lr. Cromze finished his n.o. tix fast, Pat started with 6 black, so we figured he had big tix. We killed port nash and while killing pat, we killed win lr for hogi. I finished la mia late while taking tracks in the middle.

Game 2: 198-198

Sea la/port pho, ssm ok/nash vs win lr/dal ny, chi no/fe. Weird game with cromze alone in the west with longest. We couldn't figure out Hogi's chi no/fe and too little track points for me with hogi and pat taking my colors.

Game 3: 215-178

la chi/port pho, bos mia/ny atl vs cal pho/chi fe, van mon/den paso. Longest for cromze and lots of track points for us. Hogi finishes van mon and lets den paso die. We tried killing and Winnipeg or houston tic for pat, but getting in his way was enough.

Thx for the great games guys! Smile

BTB-Pegaso vs GP Diplodokus

3 - 3

124-121 start and win Pegaso (6 red win)
100-081
109-103
078-121
110-120 lucky draw for me
087-110

Re:Fusion Cup - Play Off Matches Mon, 25 March 2013 15:09
GANG GURU situation:
As TD I find it interesting that life in a tournament does not go smoothly. I say that not so people think, "AH Poor TD", but so you know it is the way tournaments seem to work sometimes. Which I suppose is why a tournament has to have a TD or committee to help with rulings.

As TD, I try to do two approaches:
1. Hope the teams work something out.
2. When they cannot work something, look at what the rules say and make a ruling.

I state this here because twice in this first play-off round we have had issues involving schedules with two different clashes.
LOL-GASP had an issue. The captains, vice captains, and others got together, and painfully worked something out as a compromise solution. Thus you will read above that Pammes became substitution for maia when it became obvious womble as GASP's only AAT player could not play at another time when maia was available.

Now with the GANG GURU situation, things are still being painfully worked out. That is about the only way I can state it. Obviously we will try to update the community as we try to work out solutions.

next try for GURU Carsten vs GANG-dea1:
(The tiki originally said deadline would be Sunday, so we felt confident with our first arrangement - it seems, it said "Sunday 28th" so we could have realized ... but well, we are more comfortable with weekdays than dates, as it's a lot easier to count up to 7 than to 31 Sleep )

OKAY now to be as clear as mud about schedule dates, and concerns and issues there: Please note that we have had one match ask for and they were granted permission to conclude their match on
Friday morning.

The AAT match between chrismmm and GURU Will shall be played on Friday March 29th at 11:00 CET

Again the hope is to get matches played within the time constraints, but some times understanding and compassion for issues and concerns that hold some things up, can be more important.

BTB - GP

Val - GFF

5 - 1

Nice games as always. I had some luck by having mostly little tics at good spot, so I was able to made GFF suspicious and blocking me for nothing, when he had little tics at the same time.
