Dutch memoirday Mon, 15 July 2013 11:51
Last Saturday we had our third memoirday here in the Netherland.
Players from all over Holland (and even Belgium) attended this day.
The battles were fought in teams at the eastern front.
Thanks to my boardgame store The Gamefreak I could make printed scenario's who were ready to play.

There where three different scenario's in 2 rounds so people had to choose two to play. Medailles counted as point but could also be used to buy units and actions for round three which was a Overlord. This turned out to be a lot of fun Smile
After round three is was clear, the Germans had won the day!
In the evening we played with the people who stayed, Market garden overlord to complete the day Smile

Thanks all for playing with us, I hope to see you all again soon!
Memoir'44 day photos (thanks Jeronimon for making them!)

EDIT: If you want use this idea, look at my user page, where you can find all documents

Congrats Antoi! It looks like you had a lot of fun!

We are thinking in doing the same here in south Spain. Would you mind sending me the extra rules please?

Thanks

We had our fourth memoirday a few week ago, which was a lot of fun to organize and play. this time we did a mini tournament, with extra objective points

We played 2 scenarios, both as a axis and allies.
Both scenario's where home made, and played near the town I live. they are part of ote operation the free both sides of the schelde river to get supply ships to Antwerp.

This time I made the objectives count for extra points for the final score. To do so, players had to write down the amount of objectives they held after the match was over. In the final score these objectives were multiplied with 0,6 (rounded up or down)and so extra points where given to each player.
The goal of this all was to concentrate the fighting to the (historical)important places.

Landing at Vlissingen
Battle for Woensdrecht
The uploaded scenario's are slightly different for balance purposes.

After the tournament we played a overlord (market garden) with the offical chain of command rules. It really great to play this way and gives m44 a new dimension in my opinion

Tips for experienced players: if you play these kind of tournaments with less experienced players tell the waht they are doing wrong after they do it. Not during, and certainly don't let them correct it right away. (I am a big old softie I know. Wink )

Thanks for noticing Smile
It was great to introduce each scenario with a short historical introduction. and since the scenario was homemade, the research was already done Smile
