Eastern Front question Thu, 18 July 2013 18:01
Hi all.

I've recently got into Memoir '44 and have bought the Eastern Front Expansion. I'm just trying to set up 'Breakout at Klin' and I can't do it. The Hex tiles needed do not match up, the curved frozen river pieces are on the reverse of other tiles that I need. I have triple checked and there is no actual way I can set it up.

Can anyone help or is it a printing mistake?

Cheers.

Each scenario page has the hex tiles listed in order of importance.
If you start with the priority hexes at the top and get to the end, you should have no problem. However, the issue with this scenario has to do with appearance. Here is the issue from the FAQ p.65
Quote:

Q. Am I short some terrain hexes (original base game version)?
A. The three Hill with Forest terrain hexes actually need to be Winter Forest terrain hexes. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

And a follow up question which also might help you.

Quote:

Q. I have heard there is a mistake with the Conditions of Victory for this scenario. Is that true?
A. Yes. The Conditions of Victory section should have been written as follows: The Towns of Golyadi (two hexes) and Nekrasino (two hexes) each count as one Victory Medal for the Axis player. Place one Objective Medal on each Town (in between the two hexes would be best). As long as both hexes of a Town are occupied by Axis units, the medal counts as one medal toward an Axis victory. If one or both units move off or one or both units are eliminated, it no longer counts.
