When do you normally come on looking for a game?
I usually do not hand out in the lobby as I show up for prearranged games. I would be glad to try and setup some games with other players outside ladder matches.

I've signed up for the Vassal ladder again last month to play Sword of Stalingrad, but will likely stick around for some more if opponents are nice about making and keeping appointments.

This past month I've been having great fun playing pick-up games on VASSAL for Italian scenarios using the new Italian High Command rules (and some French Army rules) introduced in the Equipment pack. There's only a few so-far designed explicitly with Italian High Command (and French Army), so we've been playing it as variants of official scenarios and SFTF by jdrommel to start Italians with 6 cards.

Normally I play with my two repeat opponents, Gonzalan and The Railrodder (who after just a game or two became proficient with the rule and strategy relating), but I'm open to others who are willing to give it a try.

Note: Vassal does not have a good lobby to wait for opponents. While waiting, you can be timed out without knowing it. To deal with this, you need to switch rooms or disconnect and reconnect every 10 minutes of periods of inactivity.

Would you be so kind to reply and give us the following info:

MM44OL name: Gonzalan

Vassal name: Gonzalan

Time zone (continent, country): USA / Denver time zone / MST

(when do you normaly come on looking for a game ?) As early as 0600 most mornings and usually 2000-2200 in the evenings, usually just log on and see who is around

Email adress: DOW site is fine, check it often
(where you can be contacted to scedule a game)

As JFKoski mentioned, he and I have been playing of late, obviously referring to The Railrodder when he talks of strategy and rules! Have been enjoying the new rules and scenarios and having him kick my derrière is the norm when we play! It is his beach and I am just there to get sand kicked in my face! LOL! But, like he said, GREAT FUN!

British vs French

I finally found a use for the "reverse-units for scenario creators" vassal m'44 extension download.

There's a SFTF by jdrommel where the British invade Madagascar and are fought by the Vichy French Forces. Rather than using grey left-facing Germans, I used the reverse-facing French. When I play this it will be BCF rules for Allies, French Army rules for Vichy French.
