Android version without local multiplayer options? Sat, 07 September 2013 14:53
Hi there,
is there any way to play TTR on Android with friends, but without internet connection? Why is there no possibility for pass and play like on my iPhone, or for games via WLAN or Bluetooth?
Regards
Nico

I don't remember the reason at the moment, but I believe Eric from DoW explained it at one point. I'll do a little search and see if I can find out why.

Although I don't know for sure I would think that Days of Wonder may have used Game Center in iOS for handling local play between devices. At the time of release the only devices that ran Ticket to Ride were iOS devices. Since Game Center is only on iOS the iOS version of Ticket to Ride would have to be written using something other than Game Center for local play to make it compatible with an Android version of the app.
