Deveric-TuS Tenniskasi 3,5:2,5

1. CAL-PHO, PORT-NASH (BO-MI) 5 lokos

Not the best Combi, but many points. Colours were not good, Eric starts with 6 black, 6 orange early, me 6 yellow, Eric 4 green, me 5 white. He takes blue open, me 3 more yellow to SLC, he blocks 3 pink, me 6 blue, he blocks SEA-PORT. Ok, making both tix seems to be impossible, 17 are more points, but playing 13 there are longer tracks. I block DEN-SANTAFE and 4 reds to OKLA, Eric plays 2 KAN-OKLA, me blocking 1 to OMA, but he can play another 4 black. Sad I make it without block to NASH, Eric connects 5 green. In the end he made just 4 and didn't play PORT-PHO, I lose by 1 Sad

87:86

2. My start LA-MI, LA-CHI (SAULT-NASH) 4 lokos

Good tix, 7 green and 7 red, but no chance to get 6 black, which Eric lays early. I play 6 orange and 4 green. Eric lays 6er in the north, me three red and 3 black to Pitt. After his 6 white I was sure, he cannot lay 5 white, so I lay 3 more green LA-PHO. Eric had 6 yellow, 6 white, 6 grey, 4 pink, 4 grey SEA-CAL. 4 yellow and 5 white are sure, but he can have 3 blue and 2 lokos, if he has the whole rest of them. I play 1 ATL-NASH and hope. No block. Finish with 5 blue, 4 yellow and 5 white, while Eric connects 5 red, 2 OKLA-KAN and 4 orange KAN-DEN, he can only have made SAULT-OKLA, what gives him 113-? Me with 6 pink in the end 113, so I dont think about 4 pink from MI to get longest. Eric hasn't played DEN-ELP.

109:113

3. DUL-ELP, LA-CHI (VAN-MON) 7 lokos

Tix for 2 games for me, but I say Goodbye to VAN-MON. Again the colours are bad, but I get 7 lokos. Helps nothing, Eric lays 6 orange early. Me 6 black with 3 lokos at that moment. Eric 4 green, me 6 of my 9 reds (who needs them for those tix?) on grey, Eric 6 pink, me 3 red CHI-DUL. We fill our hands and I'm thinking about going LA-SANF-SLC-HEL-CAL-WINNI taking 2 more blacks to be able to connect WINNI-DUL, if I get blocked 3 SAULT-DUL. Eric plays 5 white DEN-PHO!!! Ok, he cant have many of those lokos, these 5 must be important for him. I guess, he has 21 and play 3 LA-PHO. After that Eric throws 6er, I know, I have to be fast, no time for my risky idea, I connect my tix via 2 DEN-SANTA, Eric blocks my 3 to PHO, so 2 to ELP, 4 pink, 4 blue. I make longest and Eric has LA-MI and TO-MI.

64:96

4. My start HEL-LA, DUL-HOU (MON-NO) 5 lokos

Difficult tix, but if u get orange and ur opp is in the north or East, they can be fine Smile. Eric has 3. But hope is dead after a few cards. Eric gets 6 orange, when I have just 3. 6 yellow and 4 green for him, me 6 grey, knowing I will just have a chance when I'm able to block him. He draws pink open, i lay my 6 (Who needs them having west?). Eric 3 red to CHI, me my 3 orange CHI-PITT. We both draw, Eric draws white open, but lays 2 DEN-SANTAFE. I dont wanna give him 6 black too and lay them. Mistake! He 3 DUL-SAULT and he is through to make his SEA-NY, CAL-PHO, DUL-ELP. Also if I would have hold the blacks and block his 22, he makes his other two, while I have -16. So no chance at all.

102:73

5. DUL-ELP, PORT-PHO (NY-ATL) 5 lokos

Nice tix, perhaps the right ones to break him Smile. Eric again starts early, gets 6 black. I NEED orange, so I take my agin poor oranges with 3 of my lokos to get 6 orange. Eric 6 green. I block HOU-NO. Being short in yellow too, I go on drawing, Eric lays 6 yellow! I HATE my colours today. 5 White from me and 6 blue. Eric 5 red. Me 4 pink, Eric 4 orange KAN-DEN! Wow, good chance for me to get longest, I block OMA-KAN. Eric takes open greens. Ok I cannot block his connection with 4 green, cause I have just 1 and 2 loko, needing 1 of them for 3 pink HEL-SLC, but I cannot see, how he will go for longest with any loop, if I can connect OMA-DUL and HEL-SLC. He plays DEN-SANTAFE. Me OMA-DUL and HEL-SLC. It looks really good now. Eric plays 2 KAN-ST.L? A block of my PORT-NASH??? No, I didnt see the 2 green to CHI!!!! Blind this moment, and the moment took some more moves. Eric plays LA-PHO. Another chance for me to save longest, if I block his connection PHO-SANTAFE. But that wasn't necessary in my eyes, cause I didn't see the loop via CHI, so he can't get longest at all. I got awake, when he lay the 2 ST.L-CHI. Not able to block 4 blue I see my game lost. But I had a bit of luck, he has only 4+5, it's a tie.

103:103

6. My start LA-MI, SAF-ATL (MON-ATL) 3 lokos

Tixgod is good to me, although I made such a mistake the game before, I get tickets, with that I can win this game. But the colourgod is not that nice. After 5+1 black and his 6 orange we both draw to 44. Hm, I'm sure I just can lose, if I get blocked or he has 42. 5 yellow is more difficult to block than 5+1 green, what would cost me 1 of my last 2 lokos. And then his winning move. 2+1 yellow LA-SANF!!! After the first shock, I play 2 OKLA-LR, his 4+1 white SANF-SLC, my 17 are dead. Me 6 red, he 3+1green? Why the hell did he go via SANF, if he wants to save his pink? Me 2+1 yellow SLC-DEN, Eric LA-PHO. I'm not sure if i had had another chance to win this game here. If I block his 3 pink now, I don't know, if he had been able to connect. I first play 3 green to be prepared to block his way to the east. Eric connects SLC-HEL. But he must have some more pink. Me 5+1 pink, Eric 3 blue NY-MON. Ok, no black here, I block DUL-SAULT splitting my 5 blue, but having just 2 orange and 6 white, there's no other possibility. I have no red and just 2 orange. If he plays 2 green or white now, I lose, but he gives me another chance, 3 red to CHI. Knowing he has no white and there are just 4 more lokos in the game, I block NY-PI, what divides my 6 whites now and makes me slower and slower. But he has all the 4 lokos, that are in the game. Last hope, he has no 5 black, I play 3 white MON-TO, he TO-SAULT, me my rest of colours, and he has 5 black. He wins clear with HEL-LA, LA-NY. In the end I guess drawing open pink gave Eric the hint, I have a 17, so that Eric thought, it's worth to make this indirection.

111:83

Loosing last was a little bit unlucky and a great move of Eric. But I didn't deserve a win with such a blindness. I think, I was the only one, who didn't see coming that loop in game 5.

+ each comment, you can decide whether to read it or not. I am not very good in writing such summaries, but I remember having read ones of dea, Kasi, Sysy ..... and others that I really appreciated a lot.

I kinda agree too. Kasi just wrote about his games against Deveric, and it's lost among 2000 other posts.

We created ticki to have a quick glance at all information in 2 seconds.
The forum should be the place to discuss, to share. And honestly, not much has been shared in the competitive forum. The only good reports I read are in the French forum.
It is just now a long list of information with not so much interest because it is mainly made of doubles.

Sure, we don't ask it.
4 players in a clash = 4 fixtures + 4 results = 8 posts.
Don't think it exceeds it.

Players can have a different idea about it. That's life, I think.

So, players who don't agree with this format:
BTB ommie
BTB yaelka
BTB Sysyphus
BTB Cromze

Val, something to add about it?

Le ticki est vraiment mieux pour suivre les résultats ...

I'm bored of it too GSV3 , and i m not a BTB...
Ticki is a great tool to follow the results ... so your fixture is cool but that's it... dont need to make a big thing about it...

8 posts x 4 clashes per round x 7 rounds x 3 groups = 672 posts

672 x 2 (with the doubles posted by the players themselves) = 1344 posts.

Those 672 posts, as nice as they are (style is really not a problem), are already summed up on ticki. And if some players have time to post 10 times a week in the forum, they probably have 5 minutes to update ticki...
Again, instead of 672 doubles, I'd rather read 50 posts of players giving an impression, an emotion, mentioning how superior they were, or how f***** lucky their opponent was, or see Will's/RFAD's screenshots.

I value more substance than style.

Yeah, we had our BTB board meeting last week and we took an hour to discuss the matter, and we decided to make it personal.
Val does not care, he's enjoying his holidays. You forgot a note about Pere though.

BTB also convinced Elric and Dom to leave a note about it last week (1 week = 2 pages ago in the thread), and I called Maskaride in the middle of the night to find some support.

BTB's are just super cool...what can we say? Razz

My initial point about these fixtures is that they should be posted ONCE per round. If you post it, just go back and edit your original post. I see that Morientes has done this, and I say THANK YOU! Laughing And, OmG Schafnerlos in group C is just posting his fixture as a summary in each round. DANKE!! No one in Group A is using the fixture... Rolling Eyes Twisted Evil

@Beka & GSV: please just edit your original post per round. We really don't need to see 4 or 5 posts to accumulate the information. Leave that space for people to schedule/comment on their games.

I have to say that the fixture is kind of a fun creation - with the flags and all. But seeing it 50 times is when it becomes annoying. Wink

anyway ... I like to take a look in French forum sometimes ... it's really ALIVE and I pity that I can't understand that language better Sad

just my (yaelka's) oppinion. Let's see if I will be fired by BTB not having discussed it with rest ob BTBs before Wink Laughing
