NEW OVERLORD SCENARIO Tue, 14 January 2014 00:47
Hi,

I have just posted a new Overlord scenario(Push to the Roer) on the SFTF page. Many of you have requested the use of some of the units in the equipment pack. This scenario has Hobart's Funnies bridging and mine digging units, along with Crocodiles, Tigers, heavy anti-tank, tank destroyer and numerous late war SWA units. All of these units participated in this battle.

Do not be intimidated by the initial set up. The Axis look like they will be overwhelmed. That is not the case. In fact, it is harder to win as Allies. What I like about this scenario is all section commanders will get action. Nobody sits and watches. They also have to assist some of the other sections on many occasions. Can you figure out where? Both overall commanders have tough choices to make. Does the Allied commander use up his cards quickly to make gains before the Axis reinforcements arrive? Does he use his reinforcements? and where? As the Axis commander, where do those precious reinforcements go? All his section commanders will be begging for them.

I just wanted to let everyone know that I changed the regular river hexes to frozen ones. This was done for esthetic purposes only. You still can't cross them without the bridge or bridging units. Nothing else was changed. Give it a try with your friends. It makes for an intense game.
