Has anyone ever finished a game? Sat, 14 December 2013 22:59
Seriously, something needs to be done. As soon as someone starts to lose, they drop. In a 5 player game after 4 turns this is more than annoying. Been playing all night, have yet to complete one single game, frustrating as hell.

Many players complain about it and Days of Wonder promised to introduce bots in the next version of the game to replace quitting players. I must be lucky as hell, but this has never happened to me on multiplayer maps. Three or four times my opponents aborted games on the two player map (including my last game today), but every time I find myself playing a four or a five player game I always happen to meet nice opponents with good humor who joke a lot all through the game and those matches are always tons of fun! And believe me I have played a lot of Quick Play games! I must also confess that yesterday I aborted a quick multiplayer match after the first turn, but that was because one player was not taking his turn for five minutes and he was not online, so the other players did not mind it, thus I won't count it as a match not played to the end for it was hardly started.

Sounds very frustrating (though please refrain from using any swear words on these family forums). I'm not sure if you were playing Quickplay or with Buddies...

In Quickplay there is no consequence for people to quit a game when they get bored or tired of the game, so it tends to happen more often. If you play with Buddies, it's less likely people will quit because it counts against them and they have longer to play their turns.

Here's a thread of people who would be happy to be added to your Buddy list! http://www.daysofwonder.com/en/msg/?th=28023&start=0

I hope you can get a few games completed soon! Smile

Huh? Confused as to the suggestion of swearing... And of course, random games, friends wouldn't do that. Seems pretty simple to me, someone pulls out a game, they cannot play a quick play game for an hour. That should stop it.

It's hard to play a game and when a opponent see it's over for him he leaves...
If it coud be like TTR, after leaving or timeoout, a bot comes and play.
AI is not so bad in SW2. AI is agressive and good enough.
Leaving player spends karma and everybody see it.
So, if possible, a bot after leaving or timeout is a good idea.

I have also been frustrated when people leave when they're loosing, or just leaving for no reason. Ticket to ride has a nice bot-arrangement in place, i would love for something similar. Good to know that theyre working on it Smile

Good news for everyone (in case you haven't already seen)! The next big update will add bots so that if people leave mid-game, the others will be able to finish. It should fix all of these problems. Smile
