You know you've been playing M'44 Online for too long when... Mon, 17 February 2014 22:53
...you close your eyes and still see hex outlines.
...you try to purchase something at the local market and ask how many ingots it's going to cost.
...you start planning your vacation around where you'll have a good internet connection or at least a local group of online buddies who can bring their games in an emergency.

Come on comrades, I'm sure you have more... Rolling Eyes

. . . when you plan your social life in between the matches for the online tournaments.
. . . when you're humming the intro tune of Memoir'44 online while you're in bed trying to get to sleep.
. . . When you think all grenades are orange and all flags are purple.

When your wife makes a good meal...or not and you say "GG"
When you hear a plane go overhead and wonder "how many stars are going to be rolled"

When after a good "role in the hay" you hear bombardment sounds in your head rather than fireworks!

You stock up on all the expansions and have scenarios set up around your house just to be ready to carry you over if your electricity gets cut or you lose your internet connection...

You hack into your wife's M'44 online account to use her ingots because yours have run low...

If I believe that there is no such thing as playing Memoir too much, would I be right, or would I showing signs of playing it too much?

Sam, I think you have hit the number one sign...

...when you truly believe that it's inconceivable that M'44 online could ever be played for too long or too much!

That was one of the first things I had in mind when I started this post! Laughing

Go out to dinner with your wife,
Notice the four waitresses stacked together at the counter.
Roll your dice
And take one of them out.

you enlist in your country's armed forces and expect them to admit you at you current M'44 ranking...or something close to it!

you begin to believe your most recent scenario results above the historical battle it was based on!

Thanks for the link, it was of use. I would have had it shipped to a buddy of mine in the UK.

But I was outbid. (For those interested: It went for about 56 British pounds)

Keeping my fingers crossed and if it doesn't work out I will print my own Tigers in the Snow Smile
