D-Day Landings | Air Check for Cliffs & Sea Bluffs Mon, 07 July 2014 11:04
Hello there,

Just want to confirm whether this is not an errata.

According to Terrain 11 card, the Air Check is set to 1.

However, in the new rules booklet for the D-Day Landings, the Air Check for these two types of terrain is set to 2. There is no ICON indicating these terrains have been modified in any sense (no green icon, no orange icon)

What is the Air Check value for these two terrains?

Thanks

Air rules are not to be used on the D-Day expansion maps. Twisted Evil

I'd go with the value on the cards that came with the Air Pack expansion.

Yea, I know. It's quite explicit written on every scenario. However, is there any change/amend we should know?

Not that I know of. Smile

Having said that, if any Cliffs and Sea Bluffs are going to be more dangerous it would be the D-Day ones!! Very Happy If for some reason people decide to use Air Rules, these hexes would certainly be a bad place to end a turn!

It makes me wonder how extensive the AA (anti-aircraft) defenses near the coast (solely to protect the beach defenses) actually were. I will look into this more later.

However, I did find out that the first AA gun (one just for shooting down an aircraft) was made during 1870 in the Franco-Prussian war. It probably ruined many a French balloon ride.

Probably too hard to bring in planes from the sides of boards 2-5. Smile
