The Pig Should Have Been Arrested Mon, 08 May 2006 19:13
My buddy owns SOC, and his loyal/traitor cards inadvertantly got mashed (two of them including the traitor card badly mangled) when his kid got a hold of his box, so what he did was take some Magic cards and hand-wrote on them "loyal" and "traitor" so that we wouldn't be able to tell who was who by the condition of the cards. It's worked fine for the last few games.

Sounds great, right? Well, the SOB pulled a fast one on us, changed decks and had ALL OF US PLAY THE TRAITOR SIMULTANEOUSLY. Naturally none of us accused each other, and as the game kept going south none of us did anything too drastic that would tip our hands as the traitor.

Each of us kind of helped a bit so that we wouldn't appear like the traitor but none of us helped too much and we spent the whole time looking at each other like we were complete incompetent boobs as everything just seemed to go wrong on every quest. The owner kept pushing us to hold down the siege engines and we went along (you know, to not look like traitors) so the game went on for quite some time.

The amazing thing was watching all of us declare victory simultaneously at the end of the game, and then look at each other in disbelief.

His new nickname is "Pigboy."

Sag.

That is awesome. Definately a tale for the ages. I just wonder how he was playing KNOWING that everyone was the traitor... I don't think I would be able to keep myself from cracking up! Smile Good story... I'll definately share that one with my group or save it for a time when I pull it off myself. Twisted Evil

Great, still be laughing, thanks for sharing! Laughing

I try to imagine how the game would take place in our group when everybody is a traitor but everyone thinks she/he is the only one... This must really be chaotic! All those traitors who are trying not to get revealed, searching for a way not to help too much but not to arouse suspicion... Very Happy

Tell us, Sag, how many quests did your group of traitors win and how many white swords did you collect? Probably you won Lancelot's armor (because it's good to have it as traitor) and it seems to me that everybody must have gathered at Excalibur to drop good white cards Laughing

Brilliant! Stroke of genius.....now there's an idea to mix things up....when playing with lots of knights the possibility that more than one could be a traitor.
