I saw a post on another forum that stated such a game did exist (and has for several years). But it has not yet been published.

Well if RB doesn't commercially produce a Napoleonic C&C in the next year or so, I might ask him if I could buy a copy of the rules privately (on condition I only play with my gaming buddy and my son).
I could do all the terrain and figures myself.

I'm actually playtesting my own napoleonic version, using M'44 board, 1/72 figures (revell, hät, etc...). Looks good at the moment (feels good to).

I too would be willing to pay Richard for a copy of the rules ,i know of vive l'empereur which is a game very similar to battle cry but with a napoleonic theme but im pretty sure that richards version would be a much more authentic representation of the napoleonic era as he himself has said in one of the forums that the napoleonic version is his favorite.

'Tis a shame that his favorite and arguable the most anticipated version hasn't seen the light of day as an official published game.

Well, 3 different games - 3 different publishers.
BATTLECRY - Hasbro
MEMOIR '44 - DOW
C & C ANCIENTS - GMT
Perhaps therein lays the holdup.

I have contacted Richard about this in the past and expressed my desire to see this game published. I even offered my services to help with its publishing, even just a rule book and cards. I also have figures patiently waiting to be used with this game.
I guess the more we ask, the more likely it will happen.
