Yeah, Eastern Front has Winter scenarios, including Russo-Finnish war scnearios. You will also find a few scenarios made by players that also cover this part of WWII, in Scenarios from the Front.
Don't forget, if you buy the Eastern Front expansion, you may also want to buy the expansion game board, which has winter terrain on one side and desert terrain on the opposite side. Of course, this game board is not required, but it does help to set the scene properly for those of you who are esthetically driven... like me!
To ZELBONE: If you check out Scenarios from the Front, you will find a series of four sceanrios I did for the China-Burma-India theater (think "Merrill's Marauders" or "Vinegar Joe's Lightning War"), which covers the first half of the allied counter-offensive to re-open the Burma road, going as far as Myitkyina.

The new expansion of M44 must include a 2 new army for exemple.
Because today the players of M44 love the precision and want more details to play the battles. (I don't like play a scenario british vs italians with the USA "green" army versus axis "violet" army).
For the offensive messages about Italian soldiers I don't respect who offend the italians.
It is very easy to speak if you are american or british (you speak only with the atomic bomb) but when the allied arrived in sicily the CIA asked to the sicilian godfathers for landing! remeber this.
Vincenzo.

I'd like to see halftracks included (then those german elite panzer grenadiers could consist of 1 halftrack and 3 infantry models, the halftrack being removed last). That would be a cool way of indicating the "move 2 and fight" ability.
Regarding the complexity issue, I play 2 versions of m44, the "straight out of the box" version for use with non-wargaming friends and relations, and a more detailed version for use with fellow wargamers.
In the latter version (using 10mm figures and vehicles on a home made board) tanks have different characteristics. Their armament is either heavy, medium or light, with heavy tanks counting stars as hits on armout and light tanks only counting armour hits in close assaults (grenades count at any range). Likewise the protection of armour is heavy, medium or light, with heavy units taking 4 hits and light only taking 2 before being destroyed. Some tanks are also slow, only moving 2 hexes.
I realise this does add some little complexity, and only works because I use it in conjunction with different models for different armour types. But it does help to get "historical" wargamers to take the game a little more seriously.

Hey Brummbar!
What model did you use for the halftrack?? It looks cool on the board!

Thanks for the link. I was wondering which scenarios, if any, use the armoured Infantry (panzer Grenadiers). I couldn't locate any rules either.

What about using the Brits and "Its" badges from the terrain pack, and the desert board now. You can have Italians and British units now. After all, the Brits used a lot of U.S. tanks like the M4 Sherman. And isn't the Finish Ski Troop badge in the Eastern Front expansion?

1.) I like the idea for British Forces (for Europe or N. Africa, or the Far East) and Italy in one expansion.
2.) Would like to be able to purchase another beach mapboard for the Overlord Scenerios without buying another M.44 game... (is this possible?)
3.) Keeping in the Same venue/period, what about N.Korean/Chinese expansion with 2 new mapboards ? Maybe some new cards for increased airstrikes for allies?
4.) How about small expansion packs for elite armor? A few tigers or panthers would be so much nicer than the short barreled Panzer Mark IV.
GREAT GAME, my 6 year old son has destroyed me in Scenerios 1,2 and 3. This if fine but I have 23 years of military experience ! ha ha (the next Napoleon or do I have to roll better?) ha
Best of luck to all...

My 7 yo tends to beat me at M44 often enough... she's almost as excited as I am about BL....
so in answer to the question... Next Napoleon? Better rolls? Perhaps to both. But you forgot: Better cards!
I find M44 similar to cribbage in one scary way. There is an old saying that goes "Cribbage is 60% luck, and 60% skill, and that overlap is where the greatest players lie."
I'd say M44 is about the same...

I don't mean to be rude, but I highly doubt that DOW would add the Italian or British army as individual pieces. Not without due reason of course.
All of the armies that have had their own pieces so far have yet to be in any previous scenarios, for example, before the Eastern Front expansion and the Pacific expansion there were no official scenarios involving the Japanese or the Russians (If I happened to miss one I apologize for the mistake). If they were to create British and Italian units they would have to revise several scenarios in the game to represent the use of all of these new units.
Also, one must note that in all of the previous scenarios the British pieces were represented by the green pieces, which in theory is never actually said to represent any army besides the western allies. (Though the US helmets and weaponry can kinda give us an idea who they were modeled after.)
It would also cause some confusion for there were some battles where both US and British troops fought together. Would you have to use both of the armies units to represent each army? Or would it make more sense just to have one univeral "Allied" unit to represent the cooperative work of these two nations?
This also brings up Italy, who for the most part, was given orders right from German HQ and worked directly with the German army. They also fought in many battles with Germany, thus bringing confusion on whether scenarios involving both armies would have to include units from both sets instead of having just one universal "Axis" unit.
I think it would have been nice for DOW to add the British and Italians players. Hell, I would be up for units representing every key nation involved in WWII, but I believe that with so many scenarios already involving both the British and Italian armies, who could easily be messed in with other armies of the war, it would be highly unlikely to see units representing them any time soon.

Jt0015,
I see what you are saying about DoW remaking sceanrios with the new Brit/Ital minatures, but let me add in they haven't redone the Ardennes scenarios with the snow look since we have snow/desert board etc. Course that doesn't stop the players from "fixing" them themselves.

In the tidbits we got from the Carrying Case, we know that there will be Air sortie rules. They even stated they would go back to previous scenarios and "fix" them to include the revised rules.
GMT Games went back and tweaked a couple of scenarios from the base game when the Expansion came out for C&C: Ancients. They also gave a provision for mixing armies to reflec the historic make-up of the international forces.
With the internet and the above precedence, I think it would be very easy for DOW to include revisions to the previous scenarios to include new armies. So I don't think this is a roadblock to these particular expansions.
