exrta rule for expansion? Wed, 27 December 2006 01:22
Hey i was just thinking that i lack a rule. If archers are on a hill i think then should be able to shoot further then the normal distance. Let's say one more hex. Because placing archers on a hill has identicaly the same effect as placing them in a forest. Wich is frankly not so right is it not?

Gz Nosrta.

Common houserule is to give them +1d attack when on a hill. Smile

I agree with both of you ,but i also think that when archers attack a unit inside woods they should attack with minus 1 die as the woods could be used as cover therfore reducing theyre effectiveness. So therefore if attacking at range ,they should only attack into woods with one die instead of the usual 2 for other units but in melee as per usual.

Interesting ideas.

I might have to implement them.

Though another idea is: units may fire over an adjacent, friendly unit when they're on a hill.

These are all rules that complicate the game though. So, until we get decent archery, it might all be a little bit overkill...
