It would be nice to know at a glance which expansion(s) where used in a scenario. Using the indicators already used in Air Pack, it would seem the best place to put these indicators would be in the upper right of the scenario when exporting the scenario to PDF.
Logical placement would be somewhere to the right of the date and/or above the Setup order section.

I found a bug.

In the scenario editor to show an objective hex that could be captured by either the Axis or Allies there is the double medal symbol.

This double medal doesn't seem to print on the PDF.

The scenario editor isn't reporting the proper number of medals, obstacles, etc. along the right side of the scenario when exported to .pdf format. The listing of the number of terrain, obstacles, etc. is correct when viewed on the webpage. I noticed this specifically for Brummbar's latest scenarios found here:

Valguarnera:
http://www.daysofwonder.com/memoir44/en/editor/view/?id=4189

Assault on Assoro:
http://www.daysofwonder.com/memoir44/en/editor/view/?id=4188

Lastly, the listing of the number of medals and stars, when required by a scenario, aren't aligned properly with the other items.

I have a MAJOR Problem with the Scenarios!

The are so F**++##*g big that to download them takes too long and if I want so save a few for a small campaign they take up too much space. So much infact that I just make a screen shot, it isnt as pretty but FASTER, MUCH FASTER and needs ,less space.

Suggestion:
When the Scenario is is finished, save the HUGE map as a Jpeg and all is fine. Just have the large format when working on the Map and save the map and text as Jpeg,, or put the map as Jpeg in the PDF,,, man the otherwise too much space is used Mad

Thank you one and all for your great work MAKING the scenarios, I love them,, its just the PDF size , the work form the mates is Great!

Cheers
Mike

You must have a very slow internet connection. Downloading the PDF scenario files takes about 2 seconds or less for me.

Another bug I've noticed just recently. On the PDF downloads, all of the labels are misplaced on where they should be. The end up bunched together as a mass in the top left corner?

I miss the labels on the bord when exporting the PDF:

so for example in the scenario Counterattack in Chambois

http://www.daysofwonder.com/memoir44/en/editor/view/?id=2930

I don't have the labels "machine gun 50mm" and "chambois" in the PDF

The dates keep getting messed up. For example, my scenario "The Siege of Yorktown" says 9/28/1781 in the editor, December 31, 1969 when viewing it, and 9/7/2008 on scenarios from the front. Why is that?

I'm having a problem inserting the correct text for Special Rules on one of my scenarios. Every time I type in the text and press
"Save", the text disappears again. Any ideas?

EDIT: With some help, I figured out that my text wasn't showing up because I was using the arrow key...and I guess it's not supported!

The 9/7/2008 is the last edit field - that is why that is. Thus one less item to resolve.

As for the 12/31/69 issue, that definitely looks like a bug, even though on the page where you click to view the scenario, it does lists the operation dates of 09/28/1781-10/19/1781.

Also (and this could be due to the fact there is no front listed - for obvious reason) I noticed that your scenario does have a pop-up being shown when I put my mouse over it unlike other scenarios.

Chart for converting mm to scale. Sun, 28 December 2008 02:04
I'm looking for a chart that will give me the common mm sizes into scale. Example: 10mm = what scale, and so on? Thank you for your help.

Are you trying to figure out what scale the different figures are? Rolling Eyes If that's the case I can help you out...if you're looking for a general rule (this many mm = this scale) then I won't be able to help.

But for Memoir '44, the Armor units are 1/144 scale and the Infantry units are 1/72. I hope this helps. Smile

Hi, I just wanted to also chime in and say I've had problems with exporting the PDF's. Primarily, the objective medals do not show up on the map or setup order. Sort of frustrating, only noticing that after printing out about 20 scenarios. I wrote them in with pen, so it's not a big deal now, but I was wondering if that's going to be fixed shortly (there's more that I want to print). Thanks.

I second the missing medal bug (can be easily seen in Pegasus Bridge).

Also, would it be possible to get the scenario number added to the title on the pdf export?

I don`t know if my observation is a new one but I found it looking through scenarios today.

If I export overlord scenarios as pdf the terrain, units and labels in the right half of the battlefield is too far too the right. Around 1/8 of a hex.

I checked both scenarios from the front and official ones and got the same problem.

I went on the OFFICIAL SCENARIOS site to download a PDF file. As soon as I clicked on the name of the scenario in the TITLE column, all the titles dissappeared and nothing happened.
Your thoughts?

I posted this on Saturday morning under "Downloading Scenarios" for SFTF:

"Now, when I hover over the scenario link in the "title" column, it dissapears!?"

If you click on the .pdf icon to the far right you can view / download from there.

I have the same problem as stevens and I use IE7.

EDIT: Where do I find the version number?

When I scrolled over the title of the scenarios(The left column) I used to get a preview of the scenario, but I don`t get that anymore, and all the scenario titles disappear.

Any info on when medals will show up on the pdf`s we export?

Good news, we found the problem and fixed it. The pop-up preview now works fine again in MS IE.

It was a side-effect of a small change that was not supposed to have an impact, but did on MS IE. The day Microsoft respects the Web standards, we will all (end-users and developers) live in a better world... Mad

Thanks for your help on this.

Any news on medals and stars on the pdf exports? They don`t show up.

I use the same IE version stevens posted.

When exporting PDFs all the round markers disappear! I noticed it in the scenario Coldstream Hill which is FULL of mines. The bug is consistent with all the scenario formats and all round markers (EXITS, STARS, MEDALS, MINES)

Quote:

In the "Battle of Abbeville", "Coldstream Hill" and the "Counter-Attack of the BEF" scenarios,
i missing the objective medals and the 8.8 gun star-badge in the
export PDF file.
They are only visible in the online or print view version.

It would be cool if those icons showing which expansions and board are necessary for a scenario (the ones shown in the scenario list) could be shown on the printable PDF-version as well (in a corner or something). That way, when flipping through a binder of printed scenarios, you could easily tell which expansions you'll need.

The Abatis Terrain Card is miss-numbered in the Official Card Compendium. It says in the list that it is number 65, but on the card it says that it's number 66.

The same issue is present in the Troop Cards section; Brandenburgers are listed as 18 but the number on their card is 21, and Depleted Units are listed as 19 but the number on their card is 22.

Also, the title of the Card Compendium says, "Memoir \'44 Cards Compendium" with an extra little slash in there. It could just be my internet browser, but I thought I would point it out in case it needs to be fixed.

I know this sounds silly, but the database is numbering these cards automatically. It will fix itself when we release the missing cards (mystery & suspense...) in future expansions. Twisted Evil
