Moves count: confused... need clarification Tue, 04 September 2007 14:46
just bought the game and the first game was not really a success...

so a concrete question:
1) to go from the church to the Parlor how many steps are needed?
a)4? (Yard, cloister, cloister, parlor)
b)2? (cloister, Parlor)
c) ?...

Do you need several steps to go from cloister to cloister room?
thanks!

Every area offset by dark bold lines and a slightly different coloring is a separate spot. So while I do not have the board in front of me, I believe the answer to your first questions is A. I think it takes a move to the yard, and 2 cloister sections to get to the Parlor for a total of 4 moves. It will tak you 2 turns to get there without special help from the cards (even with the cards, I think the most you can move is 3 spaces - so this should always be a 2-turn move).

I believe it is similar for the chamber rooms as well. Most have a room in front of them that connects to a cloister section. So it usually takes multiple turns to get to a chamber room as well.
