Uchronia Campaign - Call for 'Mercenary' Players! Fri, 04 July 2008 12:41
This long-running (longest running???) Battlelore campaign is always on the look out for new players. The campaign rules are simple and the pace is, I think the players would agree, 'leisurely' Laughing It's unashamedly simply a good excuse to have a guaranteed game or two of Call to Arms flavoured Battlelore with some great folks.

The campaign rules don't distort the basic CtA setup too greatly. For example, after getting the setup done on Wednesday I'm due to finish a battle with Paul at 15.00GMT today - you're all welcome to observe btw, especially Vassal newbies or sceptics Smile His army begins the battle demoralised after a previous defeat, but he only has to remove 2 units of his choice and is minus one command card at start. A disadvantage, sure, but not unplayable I think you'll agree. He's gone for a level 3 Wizard against my level 1 Rogue, Wizard, and Spider.

If this sounds like something you'd be interested in please examine the campaign materials and history at the Battlelore fansite address below, and email or PM me if you'd like to play.

Don

I'm playing some Ancients games, but I'll try to stop by and say hello Smile

If there is a longer running BL campaign, it is only by 7 months, or involves friends of Richard Borg Wink

It sounds interesting. I'd like to check it out unfortuanely I've always had trouble getting Vassal to work properly.
If I ever got it to run properly for me I'd gladly jump at the chance at playing battlelore.

Players needed to fight the odd battle when other players can't. If you would
like to fulfill this 'mercenary' role (minimal commitment, the odd fun CtA battle!) please let me know.
