I made the 88 a deadly weapon in close combat, it would support the defenders in Son. Also,if I would make the 88 to have a huge range, than the Screaming Eagles would have no chance!

Oh,I almost forgot, the 88 could attack only when it has LOS to the target!

I thought you were doing a market Garden campaign, but you 'only' have two scenarios.

After so much time, since I couldn't do anything else, than only "say-something-and-don't-do-it", I'm really proud to introduce to you the Market Garden Campaign!
Are you ready to rush with XXX Corps, or to fight with the heroes of the 1st Airborne? You'll find out...
Campaign is posted on my User Page. Check it out!
P.S. Thanks for Timmuilwijk, for creating the "Hell's Highway" scenario, and JdRommel, for letting me simplify his excellent "Combat in Utrechtseweg" scenario! ( And thank you, my Romanian teacher, because without Romanian language, I couldn't be able to translate the Utrechtseweg scenario! It's just like French! ).

AAR of our Memoir Crew ( Sam, Gergo, Zsolt and myself ):
Market Garden (only beta version, it was still under work) was initiated last week. Sam and I were the German Commanders, Gergo leaded the XXX Corps, while Zsolt opposed me as the Airborne Commander. The stage was set, and the bold operation of the Allies was initiated.
Gergo slowly, but painfully rolled up Sam's excellent defensive position with moving slowly on the flooded fields. 6-5, but Sam also showed the white of his teeth!
Zsolt assaulted mercilessly on his left flank, taking out the Pak-41, and forced my troops to withdraw. However, he lost serious manpower here. Not to mention, the Bridge in Son was also blown up. Next, he advanced against the Bridges in Best, and he saved the road Bridge. Lucky him! But the troops of the Wehrmacht also proved a formidable enemy, and finally 2 Bridges were destroyed, while one of them was saved by paratroopers. However, he lost too many men. 6-3.
Because the Campaign was still under development, the Combat in Utrechtseweg was played on the 'Airborne' board before Nijmegen Bridge, while Sam and Gergo played the Hell's Highway.
Sam used the advantage of the Messerschmitt, and quickly strafed some paras, but finally returned to base. He also made good use of the fact, that XXX Corps didn't moved, due to fuel shortage! (No center cards for Gergo, what a shock! ).
Paratroopers were eliminated, one at a time, and finally Gergo's bad dice and bad cards resulted in an overwhelming victory: 6-0 for the Germans!
At the same time, the British Paras' mad dash towards Frost's 2nd Para Battalion took place, with relatively good results for Zsolt. My first movements were too fast, and too risky... Kampfgruppe Moller moved out, shooting at anything, that moved (well, what they could see - night rules). St. Elizabeth Hospital was captured, and held almost until the end. Close combat, with a devastating Air Power on my StuGs, but I held out. 5-5.
Then Zsolt launched his minor counterattack at the Hospital, killing off my 1-figured infantry, then I lost control of the Hospital. 6-4.
Sam and I (next to Walter Model and von Rundstedt ) accepted the honorable capitulation of the Allied Expeditionary Force in Europe. So the Fatherland can now focus on the East, and can finally capture the Lebensraum needed for the "superior German race" ( blah-blah ).
( Zsolt finally agreed with Gergo to "surrender with honor", due to the incredible miracle for the Germans between Nijmegen and Eindhoven. )
We had fun, and I wish everybody else the same, if they play the Campaign!

I see that the Campaign is fun to play and that Hell's Highway indeed a decisive factor is! Although the Germans were quite lucky there (no center card and good dice) I presume it was still fun to play!

Of course, we had lots of fun. Personally, I loved to play your Hell's Highway; Gergo hasn't got a so positive opinion about your scenario (you know why: bad luck+no center cards), and after the Campaign ended, Sam talked only about his "advanced strategical and tactical skills" (its easy to talk about your skills, when your opponent has no chance ). Not to blame him, he did his duty for the Fatherland!
