HELP!!!!!!! Sat, 10 January 2009 00:10
Last night me and my family were playing Pirates Cove... and during one of the battles the one opponents ship was faster than my ship and they played Grapeshot attack which does... "Rolls of 3,4,5,or6 hit the enemy. Afterward your cannons receive 2 hit of damage." Then I played Smoke screen which does... "You can only be hit on rolls of 6."

In this situation what should we do??? Confused

Hi,

In fact you should have played your Smoke Screen card before your opponent played his card, as Smoke Screen is a Battle card, which are supposed to be played before Volley cards like Grapeshot attack (see Order of Combat).

Nonetheless, it would have been useless because as mentioned in the rules,

Quote:

a Grapeshot attack supersedes the effect of a Smoke screen,
for the volley it is used on.
