Possibly, but most likely as "Classified" scenario (a new format which will ship shortly and which allows for rating and posting AARs for a scenario without revealing all the info about the scenario itself).
More news on this in the coming weeks.

To my untrained eye, those Tigers look amazing!!
But we have some experts out there who always notice the little mistakes...does the Tiger have the right number of wheels? Is the barrel the right length? Not that I really care too much, but I know there are some who really look at that kind of thing...

Not to slam the overlord format, but I kinda like this format that there are overlord format as well as regular scenarios to play - thus if one cannot find people to play overlord, it does have regular scenarios to play.
Hopefully future battle maps might continue this trend of both. Since as I stated above, one might not be able to find people to play overlord format.
One question though - for this battle map (#2), does it require the trucks from #1??

Great news.
Looking forward to the Market Garden map!
But I'm not impressed by the Tiger. It looks like somebody step on it! Squezzed together and very small wheels!

See, I knew it. I figure that if I can tell it's a Tiger tank, that's all I really need. Personally I don't care if it has the right number of wheels or anything as long as I can tell what it is. Oh well, you can't please them all I guess.

It does look like a Tiger! But why light gray? Its a German tank, or it is just a generic "Heavy Tank"?
Is it bigger or same size than a normal tank?

It is larger than a normal tank. It is grey for the same reasons the trucks were grey (it comes from the same mould).

I like the look of a deeper (11 hex deep) map. I wonder how that will change the game.
And I wonder if there are plans to have that kind of deeper map with the Beach board. Maybe some more water hexes for battleship movement.

Hmmm... a few more questions.
How much will it cost?
Will there be any new tokens or cards?
Will there be an activation code? (after the laughter dies... sorry had to ask)

I would guess the Tiger rules will be released in that same way the Truck Rules were released. A while after the Battlemap pack and maybe in a nice PDF.

$18.00, it's in the press release.

Could be some new cards but not very likely if they're doing the same kind of thing as with the last Battlemap expansion.

Wow Tigers !
This is fantastic news. Good work DOW. I'm already itching to preorder.
As has been said before M44 just gets better and better. This is just the type of expansion I was hoping for.
And just to add my two pence worth the models of the Tigers are fine by me.

Hi everyone,
My brother, Jesse Rasmussen (rasmussen81) just got me into the game and I really like it. He ordered the base game for me and got me a copy of the Campaign book along with the Eastern Front. Now all I need is the Terrain Pack to play all of the Campaigns.
I like the looks of this new expansion and might have to get it right after the Terrain pack. The new tanks look really cool!

Welcome aboard Rasmaster!
I read about this battlemap and then ordered Hedgerow Hell, so now I will need to buy Operation Overlord and preorder this battlemap when it becomes available.
And of course introduce more friends to this game so I can get eight players together for a Overlord session. Currently I have introduced the game to four people, so I only need 3 more.

If i recall correctly King Tigers came into service in 1944 on the eastern front. The main change over the Tiger I was the main guns caliber which allowed it to fire AP shells at greater distance with a slight loss of accuracy at extreme ranges due to the need for targeting correction.
So relating this to memoir 44 it could see the gun fire increase in damage at short distance and the overall range increasing to maybe 4 hexes or more but with a drop in damage at extreme distance. Not sure they would increase the damage at short range to 4 but maybe it will drop to 2 and 1 at 4 and 5 hexes... Well just wildly guessing
I dont care i just want Tiger Tanks

Royal Tiger
By this time the Russians and allies had upgraded their tanks too, so continue to use the normal Tiger rules if using King Tigers

I'm impressed; you know your Tiger tank information. I didn't know any of that about Tigers (or King Tigers). I just knew that they were better tanks than had been seen on the battle field.
Based on the past, I would guess that the rules for Tiger tanks aren't going to be be very complex. The beauty of the Memoir system is that it's simple and therefore easy to learn and remember. So I wouldn't look for the rules of a new unit to suddenly become a lot more complex with different ranges and damages based on the range, etc. I would look for elegant and simple rules that recreate a historical effect, just like the current rules.

Perhaps we'll just be swapping one of the four models in a heavy / special tank unit for a Tiger model?!
