AGT-DN vs BH-Stephan1972 : 2 - 3
Gosh, what a fight...we had sweat, we had tears, we had a great audience!
Two games decided by 1 (!!!) point, one game by 2 and the final game ... I cannot find the words to describe such a monster of a game - has to be the most awful game ever to watch, I guess
Thx for some thrilling hours and grats, Stephan
Thx all for cheering!

World Cup final in Cape Town
England 2 : 3 Germany a.p.
0:1 Ballack
0:2 Mertesacker
1:2 Rooney
2:2 Rooney
2:3 Lahm
England lost in a dramatic final. It was a match on a high technical and tatical level. Germany impressed with fluent combinations. England was successful with Kick and Rush. After 120 min the game was still tied. In the penalty shootout happened what Gary Lineker already knew. The poor dog on England's side was John Terry. He cried terribly after he missed the last penality. Bad luck for England: Manuel Neuer already was in the wrong corner as Terry slipped and hitted only aluminium.
Special incident: Rooney missed a penalty ('89)
Red card for Rooney ('90 rude foul)
Thx Rob for the exciting match. Next time more luck. You're a good guy. We all know! CU

Two observations on this weekend's matches:
Stephan1972 vs AGT-DN
Match 1: I had never thought it was possible to have a crazy match like that against Dom. Thanks for a tremendously enjoyable evening! Each game was completely exciting and unpredictable. Every game finished with much calculation, prediction and making assumptions, lots of ticket drawing. Every time I turned out to be wrong. I won all the games I expceted to lose, and vice versa. The final game was unforgettable (for all the wrong reasons )
Stephan1972 vs RickRogers (3:2)
Match 2: This match also turned out to be extremely close, and I certainly had a lot of luck on my side (nice tickets, lots of locos and 3 starts). One thing that struck me here is that this was not unpredictable at all. Every game went with the start, I happened to have three, Roger only two. I didn't think the start could be that important over a 5-game series, but I now see it like tennis. Perhaps to win a set you should have to break serve at least once. In future I would suggest always alternating starts (first random), and the match must be won by two clear games. That seems the only fair possibility to me.

yes - from KO on we will have always alternate starting ...
and yes - the won by two games idea has its point - as kid pointed out as well - but then how long may some matches last? 13-15 ... or even 45-47? See the comments in some other posts - some matches already last hours with only a max of 5 games played.
I think even if a two games win would be fairer - in the long run over a series of clashes it evens out.

Grats British-Hellenic. In case it drowned in the comments on the game with hidden cards, I want to take the opportunity to congratulate all with the well-deserved victory.
And since making errors here is human: would every NC player please take half a minute to check if he checked the right boxes before he starts the game? The spectators will thank you for it!

A block to Vancouver decided the game and gave me the break in game 3.
But I hope to see our sweet little mountain country much longer in NC.
Thanks for the games and good luck, Bassie.
