Solo Game

Hi,
I recently found out that you can play the game solo, where you can play one knight. I think it is a great varient to the game, but obviously you cannot have a traitor.
I find that it is much more enjoyable than with numerous people. As my family take a very long time and our games average 4 hours, I find if I want to play the game then with myself is a great idea.
For my first game like this I managed to win 11-2, and it was the first time i had ever managed to complete the quest for the holy grail.
I though that people who struggle to find other players should know this, so they could play.

You played one knight and won solo? That is surprising, as I would think it would be harder than heck to win this game with 1 or even 2 knights.
I played solo once, and with 4 knights (and no traitors of course), and won. I can't recall if it was easy or not (it was my first game so just getting the feel for things).

Did you just play the standard rules when playing solo, or did you change anything? Also, if you continue winning by so much, you may try the Squire variant to the game to make it a bit harder.

The original post is over 1 year old, so don't know if you'll get an answer from Wingingboy. But I assume from his message that he simply played with a single knight.
That's why I made some suggestions that I gleaned from various posts I saw at one time over on boardgamegeek.com. There are no formal "rules" per se as far as I know. But folks in the BGG forum have discussed this in more detail than in the DOW forum.
Here is the link to the BGG page for this game:

Try filtering the forum posts by "Variants" and you might see something of interest.
For instance, here is a good discussion about playing solo at BGG (from which I lifted my suggestions):
