Hi. We played Mystery Express quite a lot when it appeared at our door step. Unfortunately, in one game, a friend accidentally bent a card. The nasty part of it, is that it's a permanent crease. It's a "sleeping car" card. Is there anyway to replace this card, without buying a new game? [Report message to a moderator]

Step 1: Have a serious talk with your friend about being more careful with your board games! Smile

Step 2: Contact DoW customer care and see if they can sell you the card you need.

Step 3: Contact your local game store and see if they can turn a Mystery Express game into a "repair game". Then they can sell you the deck.

Step 4: Hope that DoW eventually offers the deck from their web store. You would have to wait for that one.

Buy a pack of card sleeves (for < $5) with opaque background and that will both protect your cards and hide any damage. [Report message to a moderator]

That's a great idea. You would have to come up with some way for players to know what kind of card they're looking at (suspect, location, motive, etc). I guess you could print out labels or mark them with a permanent marker...but then you still have the problem of people memorizing which card has the label near the top and which card has the label that's a bit crooked. That could be an easy fix, though, by just switching cards around in their protective sleeves every few games.

Any way you look at it, the system won't be as convenient as just playing with the cards! Confused

Thanks. I might get just some black back sleeves for the location cards, or maybe 4 sets of 4 different colors for each type of card. [Report message to a moderator]
