I've got Vassal installed and played around with it, but I've never played an actual game on it. I've read some about how to create a log file and email it back and forth, but I'm not sure how a live game takes place. How does one watch a game in progress? Is there a tutorial or writeup somewhere on live games?

We still have some spaces available for tomorrow's multi-player romp in the snow on Vassal.

In every previous AAR, the Axis has won this, usually by a healthy margin. Today followed that pattern, with the Germans winning, 14-7, in 9 turns.

The Allied loss was aided by some disastrous dice -- 0/12 on a Firefight, 1/8 on a Close Assault, only about 2/6 in initiative rolls, and a TFH that rolled single orders in two sections and failed to capture a medal in the third.

The Axis victory was aided by a successful advance on their right, good play, and a couple of timely rolls. Axis held onto all the Majority objectives, and captured the two single towns.

Allied CinC: sam1812
FGs: L JJAZ, C gonzoj, R ryo

Axis CinC: Bayrenkini (WINNER)
FGs: R Mighty Jim, C Bayernkini, L LooneyLlama

Thanks, everyone for playing.

This was my first OL on Vassal and I enjoyed it immensely. I would definitely play it again. I highly recommend it for those who can't get enough players and would like to try OL. Thanks again Sam for organizing it.

Thanks for the game everyone- my first game on vassal for a while- really makes me appreciate M44 online more! will be glad when we can get overlord on there, and not have to have every combat approved by multiple generals, manually remove hits etc. - Looking forward to the same amount of fun in about half the time!
