No flying cars but have you seen the Martin Jetpack being developed in Christchurch New Zealand?
Of course a New Zealander did fly before the Wright Brothers too.

Alot of people flew before the wright brothers did. But no-one flew an engine powered device before they did in 1903.
And actually, "your" Richard Pearse flew his bycicle pedal powered plane in 1902, one year before the engine powered flight of the Wright brothers but several years after their glider flights (and alot after the very first glider flight).
The first person to have probably made a glider flight was a tailor from Ulm (Germany) around 1592.
I say probably because the story is as this:
That "Schneider zu Ulm" (Tailor from Ulm) supposedly performed several glider flights from a slope outside of the city in the countryside where there were good thermal updraft winds. Word of it got to the local bishop who did not like it. "If God wanted men to fly, He'd have given us wings. Only birds can fly." So he summoned the Schneider to the city to interrogate him. The Schneider insisted that he could fly, and that he could prove it. The bishop of course would not go to the countryside to see it, so he ordered the Schneider to fly from the city wall. The Schneider had to fly in the morning instead of the evening, with the wind in his back instead of against it and from a man build construction instead of a natural slope. He crashed (of course) and the bishop condemned everyone who claimed that a man had ever flown or that a man would ever be able to fly.
Or so goes the legend ...

We don't want people to hold off propomotion deliberately in order to be number 100.
If we do something, it will only be decided after colonel 99 has made promotion. Then it becomes a race for the fastest.

Thanks for the introduction, buddy!
I hope to deserve this new promotion, achieved after sleepless nights... Too impatient to wait for the #100 position!
French indeed but living in the Balkans, Bucharest, Eastern Front. That's for the exotism!
Could be funny to do a map of our virtual army all around the world!
Wish you lucky games (not too much when playing against me, please ) and tons of fun!

Hi !
Thx for the welcome Hilarion . Glad to have made it there finally
I have to congratulate you for your careful watch ! You did blow my cover ... How am I to continue to rise undetected now ? . But I'm sorry, as a very serious spy, you know that I can't tell you about my secret business...
About the path to Colonel, well, let's say that it was a long and harsh journey, sometimes frustrating and discouraging, winning all the battles except for axis utah beach, and some of them with a lot of trouble... But a gratifying one since I finally did it .
I must thank all of you who search, find and relay the requirements ! I wouldn't have made it this quickly without you (roughly 330 battles...). So, thank you !!
Now begins the road to Brigadier General... Wish me luck .
See you all on the battlefield ! Wish you enjoyable games !
