If we could pile some of these in the cooler, I would appreciate it. Good luck finding what my record has in common with Nygaard and Helcat. I couldn't find it. There could be something to the expectation that you author expert scenarios. Yesterday I put up a short scenario that may have been the first I have put in the SFTF section for the Eastern front. I had played it dozens of times, with people, before doing this. Perhaps the games do not count toward your record if the scenario was a private one? Or perhaps the scenarios need to be played so many times out of the SFTF section. Or maybe some other event was triggered by whatever games I have played recently. I was promoted after a win at the Meat Grinder in what the online game counts as my 1320th battle. I have not played so many battles with Johnny and Hermann, so I doubt my total number of battles is 3000, or even 2000. [Updated on: Tue, 31 January 2012 02:07] [Report message to a moderator]

Congratulations to Brigadier General #3 Brigadier General Henry Pelham I have downloaded the battle results for Helcat, Nygaard, Henry Pelham (and myself) and cannot find a common pattern in the battle results of the three Brigadier General's upto the point at which they were promoted. As Colonel in SFTF battles vs real opponents Helcat played 156 won 101 distinct victories 68 Nygaard played 130 won 69 distinct victories 45 Henry Pelham played 240 won 149 distinct victories 76 Phread played 179 won 95 distinct wins 46 - not promoted (yet) [Updated on: Tue, 31 January 2012 03:23] [Report message to a moderator]

Congrats Henry ... Well done. I don't know about your theory: I have published scenario's on all 4 fronts too. They have been played by several players. On the other hand, when I play them myself, I invite players by selecting the scenarios from the "my scenarios" tab, to make it cost 1 GI less. Dear sirs, I have been noticably absent in the Brigadier bar the last couple of days. But not without reason. Because of the requests made so far it was clear fairly quickly that the possibilities of the Brigadier Bar were stretched beyond their limits. The "open bar" policy adopted to welcome all officers in the Brigadier Bar made it perfectly clear: Changes had to be made. I am glad and proud to anounce that I got my hands on an invaluable item. I will not disclose how I got it excatly, but let's say people were contacted, arms were twisted and bribes were payed. And now we have got ourselves an (drum roll): Infinite Fridge, room for all things that need to be stored cold. All Beer Brands discussed in the thread are there or have been ordered. I was just looking into the snacks (promising ideas there) but had to put that on hold because I needed to build an expansion on the bar. This because someone (I name no names ) wanted to have a Little String Orchestra in here. (Officers can want the strangest things. ) Well we managed that on time to welcome Brigadier General hester24. Congratulations sir, well done! I will now look into the snack issue some more. And have some other plans to further improve the Brigadier Bar. I will keep you posted. How will I get some fighting done in between stuff I don't know. [Report message to a moderator]

I don't think we've heard from anyone yet who has played a lot of expert, but not designed them... I'll be the first when I get enough battles. I'd prefer that designing battles weren't part of the requirements. That is a surefire way to get a lot of poorly designed scenarios in the SFTF section... Geoff [Report message to a moderator]

Possible -- hard to say...

It still looks like to me that all of you had around 65-70 unique wins around the time of promotion. Except for Henry, but apparently a lot of them were unpublished...

I made it to 65 unique wins. I have no idea how many total SFTF wins I have now. I'll start alternating expert and official scenarios to see when I get promoted. Of course, if I have to design more to be promoted then it will be awhile. I refuse to publish scenarios that are below standard. Also, my only real interest in designing scenarios is the Western front, so I'm not sure that will help with the promotion. Geoff [Report message to a moderator]

Is there room at the bar for me? Brigadier #6 Brigadier Phread. My results (SFTF as Colonel vs real opponents) I am not sure if (up to) 5 of my wins should count. Played 192 Won 105 54.69% Axis 100 Won 55 55.00% Allies 92 Won 50 54.35% western played 60 Axis Victory 14 Allies Victory 17 eastern played 32 Axis Victory 11 Allies Victory 10 mediterranean played 44 Axis Victory 11 Allies Victory 12 pacific played 56 Axis Victory 19 Allies Victory 11 Distinct Wins: Axis 28 Allies 27 Total 55 If 5 victories are discounted I had 100 wins, 54 distinct (most of the 5 were at one scenario). The win in a standard victory (Montelimar of course) to achieve promotion pushed me back into the top 100 players (again). I have only implemented and posted 1 SFTF scenario - Maleme Airfield from the Crete Campaign. (It is an implementation of the DoW scenario.) So perhaps we can discount the hypothesis that creating and posting SFTF scenarios is a requirement. So is it rank < 100 & 100+ SFTF wins & > 50 distinct/unique SFTF wins? Well, I'm going to be late to the party then. I still only have 76 total SFTF victories, but 69 of them are unique. And I really hope it has nothing to do with rank. I've hit a slump and I'm around 470 at the moment. Keep a beer cold for me... Geoff [Report message to a moderator]
