By my count (from the downloaded excel battle data) Nygaard meets this criteria Helcat doesn't.

Intriguing question.
Will the next Brigadier be German, Japanese, Italian or Russian?

Copngratulations, Henry!
I suspect it is the unpublished scenarios that were holding you back. Unfortunately, there is no way to go back and count them...
I'm at 57 unique wins. I hope to be joining you soon -- and when I do, I'll bring some Yuengling -- America's Oldest brewery -- from Pennsylvania, the best state in the union... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yuengling

Well with Yuengling on the die, one would be able to order troops from the 101 'Screaming Eagles' airborne division.

Congrats Henry ... Well done.
I don't know about your theory: I have published scenario's on all 4 fronts too. They have been played by several players.
On the other hand, when I play them myself, I invite players by selecting the scenarios from the "my scenarios" tab, to make it cost 1 GI less. I hope that does not make those games invalid for a promotion ...

Dear Sirs,
May I have a warm welcome to Brigadier General hester24
Dear Sir,
Congratulations on your promotion, and welcome to this bar. Please take a seat in one of those fine chairs and tell us of your whereabouts.
It looked like Spring when you started your career, and you were frolicking on the medow lands between the Caen Canal and the Orne. And here we are, Winter, at least in the Northern hemisphere. And you have been biting the bullits all across Europe, Asia and Africa. But let me not take the words out of your mouth. Please tell us on your road towards here and the endeavours you have undertaken.
As we can not let this event pass by unnoticed, I ordered a little string orchestra to cheer up this moment.
And please Colonel Jeronimon, can you make sure that General Hester24's feet are washed and his costume ironed; he has had a long day. If you pass by at the pantry would you be able to bring some more of that excellent Vichy beer.

Congratulations to BG #4 Brigadier General hester24.
What, SIR, made the difference?
Is it the number of SFTF scenarios you have posted/played?
Have you a theory?

Dear sirs, I have been noticably absent in the Brigadier bar the last couple of days. But not without reason.
Because of the requests made so far it was clear fairly quickly that the possibilities of the Brigadier Bar were stretched beyond their limits. The "open bar" policy adopted to welcome all officers in the Brigadier Bar made it perfectly clear: Changes had to be made.
I am glad and proud to anounce that I got my hands on an invaluable item. I will not disclose how I got it excatly, but let's say people were contacted, arms were twisted and bribes were payed. And now we have got ourselves an (drum roll): Infinite Fridge, room for all things that need to be stored cold. All Beer Brands discussed in the thread are there or have been ordered.
I was just looking into the snacks (promising ideas there) but had to put that on hold because I needed to build an expansion on the bar. This because someone (I name no names ) wanted to have a Little String Orchestra in here. (Officers can want the strangest things. ) Well we managed that on time to welcome Brigadier General hester24.
Congratulations sir, well done!
I will now look into the snack issue some more. And have some other plans to further improve the Brigadier Bar. I will keep you posted.
How will I get some fighting done in between stuff I don't know.

Congratulations Hester and Jokull.
I heartily approve the addition of cognac to the Brigadier Bar.
One thing this group of brigadiers have in common: all have been playing expert, on a fairly regular basis, for several months.

As for designing missions,
haven't we all done that too?
that might be the missing "from all sides"
?

I don't think we've heard from anyone yet who has played a lot of expert, but not designed them...
I'll be the first when I get enough battles.
I'd prefer that designing battles weren't part of the requirements. That is a surefire way to get a lot of poorly designed scenarios in the SFTF section...

I'm happy to see that all of you are the first to Brigadier, as many of the Colonel promotions were delayed because you were playing so much expert.
Because of all of you, expert is a better mode for all of us. Thanks!

Geoff, what I meant to suggest was ... perhaps there is a service time requirement?
X expert scenarios a month for X months, or X days after the Xth expert win ... ?

Possible -- hard to say...
It still looks like to me that all of you had around 65-70 unique wins around the time of promotion. Except for Henry, but apparently a lot of them were unpublished...

I made it to 65 unique wins. I have no idea how many total SFTF wins I have now. I'll start alternating expert and official scenarios to see when I get promoted.
Of course, if I have to design more to be promoted then it will be awhile. I refuse to publish scenarios that are below standard. Also, my only real interest in designing scenarios is the Western front, so I'm not sure that will help with the promotion.

Well, I'm going to be late to the party then. I still only have 76 total SFTF victories, but 69 of them are unique. And I really hope it has nothing to do with rank. I've hit a slump and I'm around 470 at the moment.
Keep a beer cold for me...

He, whom has sought for so long has found it.
It must have taken him half a year drifting across the oceans to be able to fight on the European Battlefields and find this Bar, where the Endz finally meet.
Brigadier Phread, take a seat, take your boots off and throw them in a corner, turn them around first to let the water flow out and then tell us on your road towards here.

Thank you, Sir, for your welcome.
You posted while I was formatting my results. You certainly do have your finger on the pulse - which as the officer with seniority you should have.
Make my drink a large ginger beer thanks.

The Gingerbeer seems to be ordered (Thu, 02 February 2012 07:17) even before General Phread requested it (Updated on: Thu, 02 February 2012 07:18).
