There are very logical reasons why DoW chose not to include the achievements in with normal games:

1) Many of the achievements require players to play in a very risky way, with a good chance of losing against a normal player. People who are fighting for rank points will be unwilling to risk points in this way.

2) The clear focus from the very start of TTR Online has been to play against other people and compete through the ranking system. DoW has kept that focus by having players fight for points with the online mode and try for achievements in the Solo mode.

3) Because the bots aren't always challenging for good players, the achievement system adds an extra reason for people to enjoy the solo games when they don't have internet connections.

4) The TTR Pocket games have the achievements because they aren't online games...and the iPad version got the same feature so people who only have the iPad version can earn the achievements as well.

In the end, it sounds like you enjoy the competition side of the game more, so that's what you'll focus on. It's unfortunate that you can't enjoy both of them, but maybe when you're out camping (without reception) you can go after the achievements!

If you're needing more challenges, you might enjoy signing up for one of the team competitions that people have online. You can also try to move yourself up the ranking system and get into the top 10, or something like that.

Now I have all the achievments unlocked except Conductor Level 4 (5000 games) and Conductor Level 5 (20000games), but those two are just a matter of time
