Pirate Theme During the Game! Wed, 16 January 2013 10:00
I was shopping for some random items at a discount store yesterday and saw two different kinds of pirate hats for less than $2...so of course I had to buy one of each!! They totally made me think of Pirate's Cove. My wife and I can't wait to wear them while we play the game!

Has anyone else used Pirate themed stuff to help them get into this game more? Maybe a full outfit, maybe music, or a hat like us? Cool Razz

We always use a little wooden pirate chest to store the loot on Treasure Island. Once my kids wore pirate gear; we have enough of it from past Halloweens that its doable.

Nice!! Where did you get the little pirate chests? That's a great idea and would add to the theme a little more. Very Happy

Actually I think we bought the treasure chest in Disney Land somewhere near the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. It was one of those deals where you stuff the chest full of as much useless plastic junk as possible for a fixed price. Its not all that big, maybe 5"x3"x3", so I think we filled it with dice, rubber skulls, plastic pirate figures and cheapo tattoos.

I don't know where else you can find one though.

Alas, we don't play Pirate's Cove often enough, although we all like the game. I think its a matter of having too many games now and too much homework for the kids.
