Issues regarding DOW Website for Memoir'44 Mon, 21 January 2013 05:12
There are several things you can do with regard to Memoir'44 on the DOW website.

1. Forums (Duh, unless you're reading this from a search engine.)

2. Downloads (rules, FAQ, editor, etc.)

3. Shopping (buying G.I.s, games, etc.)

4. Replays (of Online Games played)
For those who don't know, they implemented a replay system for your online games, so you can go back turn-by-turn to see movements and dice rolls.

5. Scenarios
You can look up scenarios that are unclassified (or user-created) and print out to play face-to face.

6. Service Record (After Action Reports)
For each scenario (classified or unclassified) you can report a game played. When many games (50+) are reported for 1 scenario, people can see a fair win-% for the sides (balance). You can also see all your games reported and your win-% against all opponents. You can see your own win-% for each side of a scenario, which is interesting if you've played (and reported) a scenario several times (like 10+).

That's the intro and summary. Problems that could use correction follow.

4. Replays
>Frozen River: Replay will end (fatal error) if a unit is killed crossing it.

>Into the Cauldon: Axis medal record stops after finding the 0 minefield medal.

5. Scenarios
>Vercors Campaign is available for free download but still classified.

>Classified scenarios don't say in which expansion they can be found.

>The Search function for scenarios has some problems, one of which is that it can't find names of scenarios with brackets, like "[Normandy]". So if your search term is "Normandy" it won't find them unless the word "Normandy" is in the scenario description.

>There are multiple listings for scenarios by the same name (some classified). For instance 3 of the Winter Wars have pre-Winter Wars versions of the same name. Also, nearly all the Air Pack scenarios have both classified and pre-Air Pack unclassified versions. It seems like many people just find the most common, unclassified version, and records their AAR there. This results in no win-% for later versions, and maybe a distorted win-% for the original.

Can we get specials names for the other versions to distinguish them from the originals, like "Operation Cobra, Air Rules" and "Relief of Peiper, Winter Wars"?

6. Service Record
>When you want to enter your opponent's name for AAR; if it's small, like "Andy", and there's 50+ that start with those letters, then you can't look it up (so can only use his email, if you know it).

6. Service Record / After-Action Reports
I've been having problems putting in some hit % numbers in my AARs.
Today I tried 27/52=52%, but it gave an error message, "HTTP 403 Forbidden."

52=52 seems not to be allowed??
10 = 10 gave the error message as well, so any # = # is forbidden?
