 merging steam and ticket to ride accounts

Since I can no longer play on my old mac due to the java problem I guess Ill be playing the steam version.
I have tried merging the 2 accounts in the past with no luck and the steam version does not seem to record ranking.
It would also be more fair for me to list my ranking when I play new folks (Im not very high just 1300 or so).
So are there new merge instructions now that things have settled down?
