Online play

Hello,
I've just recently started playing Ticket to Ride this past January after being gifted it for Christmas. I absolutely love it. I was wondering if there were ways to play online for free? If there are not, is the cost ongoing like most MMO type games or is it just a one time cost?
Thanks!

As you've probably seen, there are lots of different ways to play online: on your PC, on your Mac, through Steam, or on your iPad. The PC and Mac version was sold here on the DoW web site (though I don't think it's still available) and it cost a one-time fee. The Steam version is now the main computer online version (with great graphics and support) and it is a one-time fee.
If you have an iPad, you can buy Ticket to Ride for the iPad and you will have to pay the one-time cost for the app even if you buy the Steam version.
I hope this helps.

One time payment for all versions, the only extra payments are to get different maps, but there is no fee to play online, as it were. Just to get the game and the maps.

Just to be clear...and I know DAC cazaron knows this...but it's a one-time payment for each online version you want, not a one-time fee for all of them.
The online game is wonderful and it lets you play against people from all over the world (or against the AI) any time you want, day or night. It's well worth the money if you enjoy Ticket to Ride!
