Can't play online (web) having updated Java today [resolved] Thu, 16 January 2014 04:37
Was playing fine but had to update Java today. Since then when trying to play online through web then keep getting message saying that my security settings wont allow untrusted source to play.

Any suggestions (have tried Chrome and Firefox browsers)?

=====
Update - solved by visiting Technical support section and updating Java security settings.

The procedure is described here:

http://www.daysofwonder.com/en/contact/web-game-security-no- launch-java-7u51/?game=t2r&version=web#article_title

We are working on a fix that will avoid adding an exception in your settings.

Thanks for your attention,

Yann

What am I missing? Adding these pages to the exceptions isn't helping. And I've downgraded to Java 45, and it still has the problem. Do I need to change a browser setting?

My dad is using Java 7u45 and only started having problems a day or two ago. There is no "Modify the Site List" option in the Java Control Panel anywhere. He's getting an error that says the Java security settings have prevented the application from running. We've messed around with the security settings to no avail.

Are we just missing the "Modify the Site List" option in this version of Java?

Another thing to try for people still having trouble is to make sure you don't have older versions of java installed. I had version 6.x installed so I uninstalled both versions and then reinstalled the new version (you might want to reboot after uninstalling before installing again).

Using 7u51 and adding the exception sites didn't work for me either...however, lowering the security level to medium did...but don't ask me what other implications that might have...all I know is it got me my TTR fix!

Hello

We just released a new version of the applet which should fix the various access issues you were getting...
For the record, the "choo choo" sound bug should be fixed as well for people who were experimenting it...
