and here is the result of a really thrilling blocker's tag:

GP menno - GANG TuS Tenniskasi 2:4

1. HEL-LA, PORT-NASH (SAULT-OKLA) his start

Most of u had prefered HEL-LA, SAULT-OKLA, but I don't like this combi. After my start with 5+1 orange, menno 6 yellow, me 5+1 black, he 5 red and 5 white, I regretted not to have taken the other combi, all my tracks were wide open for me. He played 6 green, me 3 pink, connecting PORT SF-LA, while he connected 6 green and played a loop via CAL back to HEL. I thought about blocking WINNI with 3 loko 1 blue, but didn't believe in his 12, because he played 5 white early and 6 green late and hoped for KAN-HOU. I connected Nash via DALLAS and laid 4 yellow to PITT instead of 5 yellow, hoping he needs his 1er for KANSAS; what would have given me longest, but he disappointed me Wink. He won with CAL-PHO, WINNI-HOU

120:108

2. SEA-NY, KAN-HOU (LA-CHI)

My start, but colours didn't make me happy. 5 yellow, 4 orange, 3 pink, 5 lokos let me wait too long. Menno started with 5+1 orange, me 5+1 yellow, menno 4+2 white. Difficult with just 3 blue 3 red.... Does he have VAN-MON? Or middle? I decided to not give him 6 grey and laid 5+1 white. He 4 blue, not surprising. Me 3+2 red, just 1 loko on my hand now, he 2 DUL-OMAHA, me my last loko and 3 blue OMAHA-CHI. If I get NY-PI, I'm through, I thought, because of my full hand of green, but he played NY-PI Sad. No loko, no blue, no white on hand, he had blacks definetely. So I tried to draw some more blocks by making him believe I had Van-MON. 3 pink VAN-TO, he blocked MON-NY. Ok, not interested in blocking 20. I connected MON via PI, what he didn't block, filled my hand and played a 2er NASH-ST.-Louis to perhaps make him think, I have a small east or PORT-NASH , while he went down to ELP. I had 3 more black, 5 green, 2 orange, 1 blue and 1 loko, when he just had 7 cards of 8 in hand. I started 2 orange NY-WASH, he blocked 2, 2 WASH-RALEIGH, he blocked the next 2, me 3 black, he finished 3 red to SLC, me 5 green, making my 22 and win longest and the match against CAL-SLC and DEN-ELP

89:105

3. CHI-LA, WINNI-HOU (DALL-NY)

Another combi I don't like and I had bad memory from the game against Bülent. No black, no green and menno took 6 grey with blue. Needing my whites and lokos for going down and the 6ers in black and green, I didn't play 4+2 white, what would perhaps have been a good idea against his 20, having 6 yellow on my hand. But I had enough to do with my tix. I had to overdraw (lucky blind 2 green as 45th and 46th) without start to connect my tix via SANFR and was too slow against his VAN-MON, WINNI-LR.

124:110

4. SEA-LA, CHI-NO (DALL-NY)

With just 2 lokos, it was clear fast, that I just could play 1 tic. Me 6 yellow, menno 6 orange, me 6 black, menno 5 white and 4 pink, me 6 green. I connected 6 green, 3 pink, 5 orange, 3 more pink, 4 blue SEA-CAL, while he played 5 red, 6 grey, 3 ELP, 5 yellow, I overdrew, menno 4 black, DUL-WINNI, me 2 HOU-NO, menno 2 to LR, me 4 white CAL-HEL, menno 3 white to NASH, me 6 red (45-track), menno 1 to ATL (44-track, I think he thought we would divide longest?). I won against small WINNI-LR, DEN-ELP

100:106

5. LA-MI, NY-ATL (VAN-SF)

3 black, 3 green and just low reds after 32 cards, but 6 lokos. Menno started with 6 yellow, me 6 white, menno 6 orange, me 6 pink, menno 5 black (ok, they are gone), me 3 orange DUL-SAULT, menno 6 green on grey (ok, they are played by him too), me 4 blue. I wasn't sure, if he's able to play 4 more blacks, but he played 5 black without loko and took another one open. I filled my hand with reds and yellow, but no green and black came. menno started to connect his North-20 with 1 VAN-SEA, 3 red CHI-DUL, I had had to take the last 2 blind and had found a 7th loko and a 5th yellow, so I played 1 blue+1 loko on HOU-NO, menno 4 white to TO, me 6 green with 3 lokos, menno TO-MON, me 6 black with 3 lokos, menno 6 blue, me 5 yellow and he just 3 of his last 4 on hand. Both made 1 tic, menno had longest, but I was 98:90 in front. What was his 2nd? It was Sault-OKLA, strong combi, but better for me he didn't have KAN-HOU. So luck to find the last 2 blind what I needed, luck, he couldn't play a 4er in the end and luck he had -9...puuhhhh

111:112

6. CAL-PHO, DUL-HOU (???forgotten Sad )

Hoppla, 10 greens without having taken 1 open, and that with a HOU-tic??? But just 2 lokos again. Menno started with 5+1 oranges (I had 0 at that time), me 5+1 of my 2 lokos on yellow, 4+2 lokos on blue, me taking a 6th blue and laying them on grey. Menno 5+1 pink, me 5+1 last loko on white, menno 3 red SLC-DEN, me 4 green, he 3 lokos on pink (7 lokos played by him), me 4 pink SEA-CAL, menno 2 TO-PI. I have 6 green, 5 black, 4 red and a orange on hand. There are 2 oranges open, but no black and just 1 red. I needed a 2er DEN-SANFE, 3 3er (DUL-SAULT, SANTAFE-PHO, ELP-PHO) and my 6 green. So I decided to take those 2 oranges to be able to play 3 3er, knowing that I have to use blacks for the 2er to DEN-SANFE, what would be a hint for not having VAN-MON or SEA-NY or interests in LA. I played 2 black to SANFE, menno 5 white, me 3 orange DUL-SAULT. Menno 4 yellow. His tix are obvious 17+11. He was in front in track points. I needed both 3er from PHO to win without a doubt. He has to draw cards once, cause he has 7 cards for 10. I played 3 black SANFE-PHO. Menno drew 1 from the deck and an open orange. I guessed, the card from the deck was orange too, so he had 7 unknown cards, with which he must be able to play 6 green to block my DUL-HOU-Tic. As there were just 5 more lokos in the game and just 2 green, I didn't believe, he is able to play 6 green ( We had another 18 unkkown cards in the deck!!!). And if I had played 6 green and he had answerded 3 PHO-ELP, I would have had to play a 2er SANFE-ELP, together with a 6er by him (in black for example, what he hadn't played yet), it would have ended 119:119 against a last 2er from me with a chance to draw for him.

So I played 3 red PHO-ELP, menno just 4 black CAL-HEL, me 6 green, menno drew, but just found DUL-ELP and I won against PORT-NASH und PORT-PHO

120:97

It was one of the most thrilling clashes I ever played. No game decided before the last move in my eyes. I was really exhausted. Great fight menno. Hope to see u again in one of the ttr-Tournaments.

Carsten

LOL vs BTB : 2 -4

1st game = we killed Goupil's Cal Phoe but nicely messed up on longest. 1-0 LOL

2nd game = I get Longest with La Chi Port Pho, Michael designs a nice Sea Ny Win LR but enough for us while Cromze was OK in the east.

3rd game = We killed Goupil's Van MOn (the joy of deciding to play against double start and let the opponent with Van Mon Very Happy ).

Thanks for the tough and good games !

Interesting games, but all games that I won I was struggling (drawn ticket; block; 1 point win), so overall better play from Eric, who blocked me twice only with locos (4 and 6 green) Shocked

AAT LOL onyx - BTB yaelka 1:5

just for the golden ananas or "pour le beurre" ... but enjoyable for me Smile

SWISS ... I luckily blocked France, which gave onyx much less country points and then unnecessarily drew tix ... but dealer didn't want me to loose and let me find one - 1-0 for me

Big Cities ... Vegas - NY and Seattle - NY for me. ... I was afraid of getting blocked out of NY ... so I started NY-Pit .... onyx played 6 yellow but then let me connect via Calgary Smile ... then he accidentially blocked 3 oranges to Vegas .... grrrrr ... I secured LA-Vegas and dealer was nice with me again ... gave me enough blacks to connect Denver-SFe-El-Paso-LA-Vegas .... puuuuuuuuuh 2 - 0

Mega ... IIIHHHH why Mega? Sad ... horrible tix for me: 2 west and chic - boston .... from the beginning I didn't see any chance to win .... so after having connected my tix I drew ... kind of desperately ... and found Van - Okla. Onyx seemed to have nice tix, longest, more track-points then me ... so after having finished the match you could find 2 players (him and me) staring at their screen and kind of couldn't believe what they saw Surprised 3 - 0

up to here I guess some heart attacks at my BTB team mates ... if the result matters!?

USA 1910 ... Very nice West tix for me and lots of 6ers let me quite easily win against onyx's East + Bonus Points. Cool 4 - 0

Europa ... "lost" reds in wrong place and just finished one ticket. Longest didn't help me win and in the end onyx won by one 4 - 1

USA ...Sea-NY and Mon-Atl (me) against LA-NY and BO-Mia (onyx).
I could play most 6ers in North and decided not to play Mon-Atl. when onyx started with NY-Pit. Longest and start helped me to also win this last game Cool 5 - 1

Thx onyx for a quite unequal but nevertheless funny match (just try to see through my eyes) Wink Hope to meet you again in other tournaments ... always a pleasure to play with you.

P. S. @ dealer: Hey when are you going to work next week? ... you did a real good job Yesterday Laughing Laughing Laughing

Knockando PPB vs XO Cat_ : 4 - 2

I won Swiss(without start) and Big cities
Cat won Europe
I won Asia
Cat won USA
I won mega

Swiss was the good break Smile

In mega Cat had 4 tickets and me 3, I saw I had to draw after connecting SF-Wash, LV-Mia and dall-NY (she had big tracks points in north and longest), and found LA-Mia Smile. She hesitated at the end and didn't draw.

Thanks for the nice and hard match Cat

TAG: BTB vs G7

Thursday April 3rd, 21 CEST

Result: 4-0

No third game needed as that qualifies BTB for the finals!! Tough games with no blocks, double longest for us in first and I found a tic to win the 2nd! Thx to G7 for good games!
