end of game question Sat, 17 May 2014 22:42
I thought when you end the game with colored train tickets in hand you deducted 5 points for each ticket you still had in your hand. But i can' t find it in the rules. Have i been playing wrong.

I'm afraid you have been playing it wrong. There is no penalty for having train cards in your hand. There is a penalty for any unfinished destination tickets you have...but I'm sure you know that. Cool

Thanks. I wonder where i came up with that rule. Maybe it was a house rule when I first learned the game and it stuck with me.

Yeah, I have a few of those! One rule that we still sometimes play with was just a misreading of the rules on my part...and I didn't realize the mistake until I was playing Ticket to Ride online and I couldn't figure out why the computer was playing wrong! Laughing

Enjoy!

I refuse to eliminate the double tracks depending on how many people play. Mostly because it is almost always only me and my brother playing and that would suck.
