Whatever. Onyx gets to move on and I don't. so, Hecki if you play whichever of us is second in our group, just schedule with onyx. I "concede" the spot to him regardless of how the tie break falls in his favor.

I still shouldn't have kept Moscow.

Knockando-DrakeStorm 4-2

1910 : 126-113* (lucky he didn't block Port)
Big Cities : *119-113 (what do you choose with LA-Chi, Sea-NY, LV-Mia and Cal-LA ?)
USA : 132-102* better combo
Swiss : *93-94 (my worst game : I could have blocked 2 times and I could have ended with 5+5 instead of 4+5, but 3 bad inspirations, so I could have won 3 times the game and the match)
Asia : 44-85* (no locos made it hard, and Drake played well without big ticket)
Europe : *119-93 (Happy with this one : I won with kiev-Petro and Brest-Marseille and longest vs Frank-Smol + Pal-Moskva)

1910: I was going to block Portland, and I should have since there was no reason for you to goto Seattle. But for some dumb reason I thought I could still win without doing it. Cost me the match.
BC: Thinking about it, I probably kept the wrong tickets.
USA: No real chance for me.
Swiss: Horrible tickets, suprised I won.
Asia: Horrible tickets again, just lucky lots of locos to block and go out fast.
Europe: I knew Frank-Smol was going to mess me up, but my other ticket choices were horrible. If I take the bottom 6er first, I still probably lose.

Good Luck, got a good chance of winning it since Sysy will probably choke and not make it to finals!

For playoffs,

there are not strict deadlines. A round per week is only a guideline. Keep me informed on the forum with scheduling attempts!

Rules aren't updated on ticki since...years, so Enic and Lexx stopped yesterday evening at 3-4 and have to end their match.

Question to TD : in case of 3.5-4.5, is it over or not ?

If not, in case of 3.5-5.5, is it over or do we need even number of games ?

I'll update ticki after the answers

Rules are updated yearly in the forum thread of announcement:

http://www.daysofwonder.com/en/msg/?th=29520&start=0

In this case: 3-4 no end 3.5-4.5 no end
You need to win by 2 or more with at least 4 wins.

Yes they are in the forum, but as we have rules on ticki some players read them on ticki, so we have to update rules in ticki at every change, or take them off the ticki Smile.

So after a 3-3 no need for a difference with an even number of games (4.5-3.5 no end), just need to "win by 2" even with an odd number of games if there is a tie game.

Lexx vs Sysy :
1.5 vs 3.5

Well, no surprise to find Alex in final. He's been pretty solid in every single-player tournament this year ! I was surprised not to play Europe.

1st game - Big Cities : Sea Oak Sea Ny vs [b]KC Hou LV Mia/b] 127 vs 131(my start)

Ideal combo to start with. Away from 6 black, Big tracks, big tix. We mostly play our game on our side of the map.
I don't bother blocking with the start.
He finds La Mia in a last turn draw and wins !

2nd game - Asia : Kransoyark Samarkand / Ulan Bator Valdivostok vs Omsk Astrakhan / Samarkand Mecca (?)/Moscow Ankara 94 vs 91 (his start)

We wait for a while before laying a track.
He opens 2 red in Hanoi, me 2 orange in Kathmandu. Bluff is necessary against him.
He takes 2 blue in Rawalpindi then 2 mountain in Karachi : either he locks me up, either he's trying to be flexible for Moscow Calcutta, either he has 3 small west tix.
I then claim 5 grey then 6 grey around Dihua with 5 black. I add the 4 white while he's working in the west, half connecting, half blocking.
I connect Vladivostok and Krasnoyark via Irkustk.

He has 3 tix + bonus while I'm 20 points up on the board, that's enough. Whew : 1-1

3rd game - USA : Port Nash/SF Atl (den paso) vs Port Phoe/ K Hou 121 vs 113 (my start)

Good tix for me.
I get 6 black fairly early, to which he answers with 6 green and 5 white.
I am a bit worried, I'm short on yellow, red and locos.
He connects in Paso and takes a blue open, I counter with 6 blue then 3 purple to SF. He goes with 6 yellow and 6 orange.
I connect my tickets without any problem, and launches the last turn with 6 grey. He has to connect to KC, no problem.

2-1

4th game - Swiss:Zur Country/Olten Schaffhausen/Luzern Vaduz/Zurich VaduZ vs Geneva bern ? and Country Ticket 90 vs 90 (his start)

Fairly unusual to keep 4, especially against a good blocker like Alex... but they pair pretty well, and I 'just' need 3 white and 4 black.

He takes 6 grey early, then 4 grey in Bern. I have a hard time finding my colors since locos are pouring blind in my hand. I finally get my 3rd white. He plays 1 blue in Solothurn to which I answer 3 grey. He blocks with 3 more blue in Interlaken.
Ok, his tickets are probably not that great.

With all my locos and awaiting a 4th black, I claim the 6 tunnel with purple. I got my 4 black fairly late, but he takes the 4 tunnel in Austria. I go to Vaduz and does not block anymore. I take more tunnels, but I make the wrong choice of giving away longest (seems like a well-known story).

In the end we tie !
Better outcome for him, since he had the start and that I can choose the next map.
Match point on my serve !

5th game - USA 1910 : Port Pitt/Chi NY/SLC KC vs LV Mia Hou Was 135 vs 102 (my start)

Nice, I can start with 3 tix. I take Chi Ny at around 25 cards, he opens with 6 red. Again, I choose not to block in Hou (he plays LV Mia earlier the same way), having 3 tix and the start.
I connect fairly easily my tickets with a nice cushion of 7 locos. He completes his tickets. He's in Washington, he has either Houston Washington or Washington Atlanta.

He has to draw for LA Atlanta and misses...

3.5 - 1.5

Better tix for me overall. The tie in Swiss was the key moment !
Lexx is getting more and more solid on every map, in every format! He'll grab for sure some nice wins in the future !

Thanks for match !

Grats Julien,

well played, congratulations!
I was really not happy about swiss.
I had 1 blue and 2 locos to make the final turn, but did not find any 2er tunnel to play, played 1 blue instead and got a tie.
Asia was another one which could have ended better for me (my tixs were Perm-Teheran, Moscow Ankara and Moscow Mecca).
But as per usual US maps are the key in AAT and I clearly need ti improve here:)

Series are of 6 games.
Additional rules apply only in case of 3-3.

3.5 - 0.5, 3.5-1.5 and 3.5-2.5 are ok results.

The at least 4 wins was a mistake on my side (Should have said at least 3.5 wins Wink )
