Small World Pricing Concerns

G'day,
I am quite concerned about the significant differences in pricing between Australia (where I live) and the US for Days of Wonder products on the app store. Small World on the iPad in Australia costs $8.99AU (which is $9.42US after exchange) while the US iTunes has it listed as $6.99US... Why is the Australia digital distribution being price gouged a 34% increase? I fail to see how sending an electronic good to one location over another could conceivably have anything other than negligible cost difference. It really doesn't seem very fair. Can you explain why I have to pay more than everyone else?
