New Colorblind User to Online Game

I played Ticket to Ride, the board game, for the first time last night and loved it (yes, I'm the last person to discover this great game!). I came home and immediately bought the online game...
Unfortunately, when the trains are placed on the board, I cannot distinguish the yellow from green nor the blue from purple. My first game ended badly because I thought I had some uncompleted lines finished.
Are the avatars/colors the same for all expansions, or do any of them give you more choices? Right now, I am limited to playing a 3-player game or playing red and sacrificing being able to tell the opponents' trains apart.
