The Tatsinkaya Raid (Breakthrough)

Quick question, which even though I've looked at the FAQ (Scenarios) I'm still not too sure on.
The Tatsinkaya scenario requires the capture of the Airfield for the Axis to win, (ie as one of their 10 medals). I get this. Its a permanent medal, so the Axis forces don't need to maintain a presence on the airfield hex.
The only reason I'm checking this is that the wording in the FAQ suggests you have to OCCUPY the Airfield in order to win. The FAQ agrees with this, but suggests CAPTURING the Airport is req'd.
To me, 'occupy' suggests they have to have a unit on the airfield at the point they reach their 10 medal haul, but I know that's not required if its a permanent medal objective. Leaving the airport still gets you the medal, but then it becomes UNOCCUPIED?
Is 'capturing' the airport enough?
(I'm wondering if the airport can even be lost to the Allies after claiming it for the Axis, but that is still ok for a victory condition?)
Cheers
Jim
