This is awesome. Well done.

How does one go about changing their Headquarters info? I've got an entry that says I'm "Captain of the Japanese"? Not sure why and would like to change that or delete it. Thanks

Don't worry too much about it for the moment. It means that in one of the lasts AAR you entered, you were playing the Japanese side. Your officer rank is then derived from the number of games (again, AARs) that you played.

This will change with the M44 On-line game. The PC game will provide a very sophisticated ranking system, so this is where the information will show up. So for the moment, consider it a "fun" placeholder. Very Happy

Maybe I'm stupid, but is it possible to play Memoir '44 online?

How do I get a rank for instance?

You need to enter at least one AAR (After Action Report).

I expect I can only do that when I am a registered player with web code access?

Does it matter that it is a web code from a TTR game instead of the Memoir game?

for stuff related to Memoir '44 (like AARs), yes, you need to be a Memoir '44 registered user.

However, you can still create projects and upload images in your User Page, even is you are a Guest with no codes at all. All you need is an account.

In some users pages (eric, Hawkmoon von Köln), the "My Scenarios" box over-writes the "WELCOME" box, either in French or English.

Dear DOW staff,
I reported the new user pages on May 14th after I first noticed them at the bottom of my avatar. However, since that date when I click on the user pages icon (mine or anyone else's for that matter) all I get is a blank screen. Has something changed? Do I need to access it differently? I am running a Mac with OS10 and using the Safari browser. I used Firefox today and found no problems accessing this feature. Does this mean I have to use Firefox if I hope to access this in the future? Thanks for your thoughts and your help.

I have a similar problem using Safari (OSX3.9)
My Name (céro) is spelled wrong in the right upper corner (using Safari od Firefox) - on all the other DoW-Sites it is spelled correctly
Then with Safari the thing is broken - I can't write any text or upload any picrures (148 kb)
With Firefox it seems to work, except the wrong spelled name in the upper right corner and I'm not able to upload any pictures.

I hope that this issues can be fixed - because I think it's a great way to share one's hobby worldwide.

Edit: I've downloaded the newest Firefox - now it's all ok.

So the conclusion is obvious... use Firefox! Very Happy

Note that it also works fine with IE 7 on WinXP. Wink

This is odd, it was tested under Safari as well as Firefox. Which version of Safari do you use? I just tried again on my Mac (Version 3.1.1 5525.18), and I was able to access your pages (and mine).

Like with Stevens, it works fine with me (Safari version 3.1.1 5525.18 under MacOS X 10.5.2). Please give me the version of your Safari and MacOS X.

Safari on 10.3.9 is likely to be a 2.x or even an 1.x Sad

Dear Yann,
I am using Safari 3.0.4 (5523.15) and Mac OS X v10.5 CPU drop in kit. It still goes blank when I try to load the pages. The good thing is that I also have Firefox and I just load that particular browser when I want to to view and edit my user page. Thanks for your attention to this problem.

Is there some way to access our User Pages from anywhere on the DoW site? I'm probably missing something really obvious but right now I'm having to go into a thread and find my name...then click on User Pages. Razz

Would it be possible to put a link to User Pages in the upper right corner (where it says "Welcome rasmussen81") Or maybe there's another place to log in that I'm just not seeing... Confused It's possible! Very Happy

There is a link in the upper right corner - or almost: you'll find it at the top of every Days of Wonder web page, in the blue menu bar, between "Play" and "Company" Smile

Just updated my user page and I found it a breeze to upload content of all kinds. Looks very good DoW - nice one!

Will there eventually be a facility to upload files of kinds other than those listed thus far?

Hold that last post...

Just gone back to my user page to check what I did last night and it seems that the 4 Word documents I successfully (at the time) uploaded in the first project are missing, and a pdf document in the second project is missing.

I uploaded using Safari on a Mac, and now I'm viewing using Explorer on a PC.

All of the images and documents uploaded to the later projects are present and correct.

Any ideas?

I'm running into a problem as well. When I try to save work I've done on a project it tells me "Empty Response" from DaysofWonder.com. I can still upload pictures and it saves those, but text doesn't work. Last night I was able to type and save...I was using Firefox. Today I'm using Safari, both last night and tonight are on Mac computers.

Thanks for your help!

A couple more observations:

1. Using Explorer on a PC, when I upload a document it uploads to the beginning of the project window, not where the cursor is.

2. It would be useful to have an indicator somewhere of how much space a user has left for uploading content.

Odd saving problems.

I've updated my projects and included a couple of pictures. Initially, it looked correct and I remembered to save. But when I went back in to look, the images disappeared and some of the text too! (just some of it, which is odd??).

I tried to just add in some of the text again, forgoing the images to see if they were part of the problem and the text didn't save now either?

I'll try again later...but thought you might want to know.
