I was wondering how other people organize their terrain tiles after you have all the expansions ? Do you keep then in the original box they came in or do you put them in one box

Boardgamegeek.com has neat ideas to solve the storage issue. Most of us have chosen a storage-bin where all the tiles are sorted out.

Check here http://boardgamegeek.com/image/1257317/dopehatman?size=mediu m to have an idea.

Here's where I keep Winter tiles:

http://www.pringles.com/en-US/Assets/images/products/Flavors_Pizza.png

I keep TP tiles in another colored tube. Since Med Pack has figures I keep those tiles in its box. I have my tokens and obstacles (^and planes, HT, PC) in a small plastic case, similar to those linked above.

I've posted these before, but I separate mine by expansion into two boxes;

http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/gg214/ronh51/Games/2010-Dec-01_003.jpg

Each stack is 44 tiles, just like they fit into the expansion boxes. I also have space for the round markers, badges, obstacles, and units.

I store everything in one large Plano tackle box (pictures on my user page), but I still keep the terrain tiles for each expansion separate.

Actually, I think I was not able to get the Winter Wars tiles in the Plano box. The equipment pack figures are also not yet in the box. Maybe I need a larger box.

We're still hauling multiple boxes. Is there anything that could take the components of the basic box, plus those of expansions in one big box?

Like I said above, use a Plano tackle box. One example of an old box I have is pictured on my user pages.

Here's the Plano website with the 1155 pictured:

Actually, to get to the products page, you have to click the "Satchels and Large Specialty" link on the left in the orange area.

" No not the big BT boards, the campaigns books and also the preprinted OL maps dont fit in (i can make them with the 2 basic boards that do), but all the rest all is in there. "

That does it plenty for me sir ! Rolling Eyes

My solution can be seen in my galleri on bgg on page 1. And 2 of my gallery.

http://boardgamegeek.com/geekimagegallery.php?action=view&am p;objecttype=user&objectid=233852&linkname=ad79& pageID=1&username=ad79

Equipment pack is in it's original box which also contains a second copy of the Terrain Pack.

Mine are all in a hobby/tackle box similar to the others shown.
I keep all the expansion tiles seperate.

So I can sort them easily I got a large set of coloured sharpie markers and gave each tile set one coloured edge. Different colour for each expansion.

This doesn't show when the tiles are on the board, but makes it easy to sort them afterwards.

Re: organizing terrian tiles Tue, 02 October 2012 04:04
I use colored markers (Sharpies) to color code the tiles by expansion, and mark the tiles on three edges, alternating colored edge-white edge so that it is easy to see what set they go with when I pick them up. It prevents the need to rotate the tiles to find the colored edge. I'd also recommend using the "washable" colored markers in case you slip in coloring the edges.
